It’s a 14-year-old art project. Leon Karssen drew the first blue cat on February 2, 2012 because he was bored in class. Older than most of the site.
Instagram (@sillynubcat) is at about 1.56 million followers. That’s real. Each post gets hundreds of thousands of likes.
On X the main account and a bunch of related handles keep getting banned. Appeals go nowhere. The official @X account even reposted the art. Solana posted “free @nubcat.” MetaMask posted “wtf they banned nubcat.”
People with real followings said the same thing: let the blue cat back on X.
The page was posting cat drawings and drawing replies. That’s it!
What it looks like is mass reports plus filters that can’t tell a viral meme from spam. Something's off.
Not asking for special treatment. Asking simply for a review of the account. The art was everywhere on X and people actually liked it.
