💯 This guy is an untrustworthy charlatan whose actions led directly to the deaths of multiple people. Misled MPs, misled Parliament and facilitated the ongoing coverup for @HMRCgovuk institutional incompetence that led directly to the #Loancharge. We'll never forget

Mel Stride appears to have forgotten about his Governments tax rises. He was responsible for the Loan Charge and IR35 Reforms. Never forget what this man did. Never vote Tory whilst he could be Chancellor. He cannot be trusted.

We've had decades of barrister advice used to provide credibility to #LoanCharge schemes and these ppl (and other enablers) have made millions and walked away, leaving a trail of destruction. Meanwhile, #LoanChargeSuicides for the people duped

“A third of those effect will have liabilities written off” that must be a lie??? “Writing off £5k from ALL those affected” that is DEFINITELY a lie!

Thank you Emily for raising #LoanchargeScandal Issue. #RetroTax #Loancharge must be abolished. Promoters has to be liable for tax. Dishonest MPs @MelJStride @Jesse_Norman must be jailed.

Reality on ground paints different picture. See HMRCs technical note. Many groups excluded, including those coerced into settlement, therefore rewarding those who did not comply, but adding promoters fees to tax liability in new settlement, money people didn’t receive, SHAM!

How are these reasonable and fair proposals @Dan4Barnet @RachelReevesMP when everyone who had to settle or face the Loan Charge under constant duress from HMRC are now worse off?!?!?!? 😡😡😡

What are your thoughts on this @jamesmurray_ldn ? Why would it be OK for Ministers to use professional advice as a defence? It's hypocrisy of the highest order. @LCAG_2019 #LoanChargeScandal
Replying to @ContractorCalc
The cognitive dissonance here where Ministers rely on "professional advice" for their defence when caught out, whilst they simultaneously allow @HMRCgovuk to bludgeon innocent people caught up in #LoanChargeScandal, when they also took professional advice, is galling to see.

We once again thank Ray McCann for meeting with the APPG to discuss the #McCannReview into #LoanCharge settlement terms. We do however have concerns relating to what we heard, including things that demonstrate it isn’t independent of HMRC & the Treasury. loanchargeappg.co.uk/wp-cont…

A Sky News investigation has revealed how, over two decades, some of Britain's biggest recruitment companies were linked to large-scale tax avoidance when placing workers into jobs, including government roles in Whitehall. 🔗 Read more trib.al/6ar0Kgg

Great to see the authorities have caught a fake benefits claimant, who made £8k out of the public purse! Will they now be setting their sights on Michelle Mone’s SEVENTY MILLION POUNDS worth of money from the public purse? We aren’t holding our breath. The home of corruption -UK

@jamesmurray_ldn can I encourage you to consult with @keithmgordon and @SarahEGabbai who have both recognised the unfairness in the current approach and who have penned a proposal to achieve a fair resolution? Thank you

@SussexBylines, would you consider writing an article and tweeting the below to see which MP candidates are prepared to stick their neck out to help their prospective constituents fight the retrospective #loanChargeScandal by supporting the #LoanChargePledge

@MelJStride - the Oppenheimer, or is it Barbenheimer, of the #LoanChargeScandal? He will always be linked to this toxic, dangerous retro-tax policy: "I am become the destroyer of worlds" - there are 67K families that can vouch for that. Multiple #LoanChargeSuicides.

LCAG welcomes unambiguous commitment to Independent #LoanChargeScandal Review from Rachel Reeves and, if Labour win #GeneralElection, look forward to helping Gov achieve their aim. In spirit of commitment, LCAG urges all #GeneralElection candidates to sign #LoanChargePledge.
