It’s time for change; we need the grouse shooting industry to be licensed & a complete ban on peatland burning.
Shoots that are not engaging in illegal activity have nothing to fear & lots to gain from this.

🎊Exciting news! 🎊
2 new bison calves have been born in just four days apart. 🦬
The calves bring the total number of the Wilder Blean bison herd to 8 and they are now part of the UK's only wild bison rewilding project thanks @KentWildlife & @WildwoodTrust 💚
"Reaching net zero is impossible without nature" yet the UK Government allocates £22bn to carbon capture and storage despite that it is unproven technology at scale and is considering cutting nature investment! @MaryCreagh_ @Ed_Miliband theguardian.com/environment/…

The @WildlifeTrusts has acquired Skiddaw!
This landscape, which is treasured by so many, will see restoration of peatlands, woodlands and more.
Let there be no doubt, this is a milestone moment for nature restoration in @LakeDistrictNPA and beyond.

It is such an exciting prospect for Cumbria and the UK. We obviously couldn’t cover it “on mic” at the time, but to get an inkling of what could happen on Skiddaw, listen to @RobStoneman here for some “ballpark landscape recovery banter”: treesacrowd.fm/rob-stoneman/

Beavers are recognised as native species in England, but are still not allowed in the wild even though they bring so many benefits to our natural world. That’s why we’re asking the UK Government to publish an ambitious reintroduction strategy! Read more 👉 wtru.st/3yYgu6k
That this can happen on our watch is utterly disgraceful. Let asylum seekers onto the channel ferries and provide legal routes to the UK. Then process applications quickly sending those back who don't qualify. End the slaughter @YvetteCooperMP theguardian.com/uk-news/arti…
Oh wow - another Brexit shambles - this time over-fishing by the big trawlers smashing our seabird populations. The decline of Britain's wildlife is catastrophic - c'mon @UKLabour @MaryCreagh_ time for a massive reset to bring back our wildlife. theguardian.com/environment/…
The @WildlifeTrusts launched their vision to bring back beavers today. @BBCr4today interviewed me earlier on this morning. Listen at 53.38: bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0022c…

Travel all the way back from Berlin but the final leg from KX to York is thwarted by @LNER because they can’t sort out staffing. Shite service.
