Over the past week, I’ve been stunned by the sheer number of interviews with Russell Brand over the years. The attention, platform, and celebrity status our society bestowed upon this creep is deeply disturbing. That he was repeatedly placed before live audiences and television cameras, while people laughed and applauded his pathetic drivel, speaks volumes about the sickness of our culture…and our willingness to celebrate it. #RussellBrand

You were a big part of his publicity campaign to portray himself as a godly person. You didn't have to do it all in front of the camera. Yet you did.

Bear Grylls. Drinks piss, talks shite.
Brand’s faith seemed genuine to me at the time when I was a guest at his private baptism.
I have attended a few now. Even visiting in prisons with people who have committed terrible crimes. It's part of our calling as men and women of faith, to love and serve anyone. It is the sick that need healing. Judgement is for the courts and God… I wouldn’t want to ever discourage someone’s coming to faith.
It is right that justice has now been served.
I can’t imagine how hard this time has been for the victims, the heroes of the day.

Justice served. Bravo to the courageous survivors who endured the additional trauma of the courtroom to ensure this predator was held accountable for his egregious crimes. cnn.com/2026/11/05/uk/russel…

Thanks for this info and for the MKsafetynet link to the Pii investigatory report. It's all so awful.

According to investigatory report, ABWE “lied about & hid the existence of 100s of documents pertaining to Ketcham at the direction of ABWE attorney Robert Showers.” Yet Southern Baptists still platformed Showers at a seminar to educate churches on abuse.

If you’re Aussie and get the chance to watch the Fox News election coverage today, be aware it’s the funniest show in town because never have we seen a bigger collection of sad-sack grifters, hopelessly corrupt liars and furious sooky-la-la dickbrains in all our born fucking days.
It’s freaking hilarious and the chance of a lifetime to watch the MAGA melt-down in glorious technicolour.
Cross fingers this blue landslide continues.

I love the work @compassion does among children. But what this whistleblower reveals is extremely concerning.
An AI tool he developed found more than 25,000 cases of suspected grooming in letters between sponsors and the children in Compassion's program. The whistleblower says Compassion has failed to adequately address the danger and is instead threatening him with legal action.
I hate to say it, but this is typical circling-the-wagons behavior. I'm really disappointed. Full disclosure, I've sponsored Compassion children for decades.

It’s important to clear something up that I see misunderstood quite often.
If a pastor has a sexual relationship with a parishioner, it can never be described as consensual. This isn’t opinion – it’s a matter of clergy ethics.
It is malpractice – and an abuse of power.

Compassion International’s own AI tool flagged 25,810 suspected grooming cases in letters sponsors wrote to children. A whistleblower who helped build the tool says @compassion still has no process for canceling those sponsors.

Going into debt to support a church isn't necessarily an act of faith. It may be an act of financial recklessness. And pastors shouldn't confuse the two.
Yet as @WillowCreekCC seeks to raise $100 million, pastor Shawn Williams is praising families who took out personal loans and second mortgages to fund the church's first building in 1977.

.@WillowCreekCC is asking congregants for $100 million over two years, with participation from 100% of members. Senior Pastor Shawn Williams held up the people who took out second mortgages to fund the church's first building in 1977 as models of faith.
More than half the money would go to the church's general operating budget.

I can recall churches requesting prayer for pastors, missionaries, police and politicians. Never recall a church asking for prayer for journalists. The @danielsilliman list of 52 people leaving Christianity Today, would be a good place to start. danielsilliman.substack.com/…

I have never seen so much evil clothed in religiosity. It makes my head spin and my heart wither. Church is no longer a safe haven for the broken and the oppressed. It has become a hunting ground for predators, a stage for narcissists, and an MLM for shysters.
