Kashmir’s future will not be decided in Islamabad, by terror proxies or through 1947-style invasions.
It will be decided by the people of J&K - through India’s Constitution, elections, development and democracy.
J&K is and will remain an integral part of India.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif's Message on Jammu & Kashmir Black Day, 27 October 2026.
Seventy-nine years ago, Indian forces landed in Srinagar, marking the beginning of a tragic chapter in the history of Jammu and Kashmir, one that continues to cast its long shadow over the region to this day. Since then, the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been denied the realization of their inalienable right to self-determination, as affirmed in the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) have endured immense hardship, suffering and repression. Yet their courage, resilience and unwavering resolve to secure their fundamental rights remain undiminished. The sacrifices of successive generations stand as a powerful testament to their enduring commitment to freedom, dignity and justice.
India has continued its efforts to suppress legitimate political expression and silence the voices that represent the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. The prolonged incarceration of Kashmiri political leaders, activists and human rights defenders remains deeply concerning. It underscores the need for due process, respect for basic liberties, and greater international attention to the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Since 5 August 2019, India has taken a series of unilateral measures in IIOJK, accompanied by sweeping restrictions on fundamental freedoms. These measures, affecting the political, legal and demographic character of the territory, have drawn serious international attention. Pakistan has consistently called for these developments to be addressed in accordance with international law and the applicable United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Pakistan's position on Jammu and Kashmir remains clear, consistent and principled. Lasting peace and stability in South Asia cannot be achieved without a just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, in accordance with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
On this solemn occasion, I pay tribute to the countless Kashmiri men, women and children who have offered immense sacrifices in pursuit of their rights. Their memory will always be honoured. The aspirations of the Kashmiri people cannot be extinguished through coercion or repression.
On this Jammu & Kashmir Black Day, the Government and people of Pakistan reaffirm their unwavering solidarity with the people of IIOJK. Pakistan will continue to extend its moral, diplomatic and political support to the Kashmiri people, and to advocate for their legitimate rights at every national and international forum.
May the people of Jammu and Kashmir realize a future of lasting peace, dignity and security, and the fulfilment of their aspirations, including the right to self-determination.

🚨| Shehbaz Sharif, Your Kashmir History Starts Five Days Too Late
Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif says a “long night” fell over Jammu & Kashmir when Indian troops landed in Srinagar on 27 October 1947.
There is one problem.
His history begins five days too late.
📍 22 October 1947: Tribal forces crossed into J&K from Pakistan and advanced towards Srinagar.
The invasion ravaged towns along the route. Contemporary reporting from Baramulla documented looting, killings and sexual violence by the raiders. Even Sheikh Abdullah later told the UN that the invading tribesmen had massacred Kashmiris — including Muslims.
📍 26 October: Maharaja Hari Singh signed the Instrument of Accession to India and sought military assistance.
📍 27 October: India accepted the accession and airlifted troops into Srinagar.
So no, Shehbaz.
The Indian Army did not arrive and start the invasion.
It arrived because the invasion was already heading towards Srinagar.
⚔️ And Pakistan’s role was hardly invisible
Pakistan long portrayed the assault as a spontaneous tribal uprising.
Yet Pakistani Army officer Major-General Akbar Khan later wrote about the operation in Raiders in Kashmir, while Indian military accounts identify the invasion plan as Operation Gulmarg.
Major Onkar Singh Kalkat also later described encountering a secret invasion plan before the assault began.
The precise archival provenance of the “Gulmarg” papers remains debated.
The invasion from Pakistan does not.
📜 Shehbaz also invokes the UN. Read Resolution 47 properly.
The first major demilitarisation requirement was for Pakistan to secure the withdrawal of tribesmen and Pakistani nationals who had entered J&K to fight, and prevent further material support.
Only after that was India expected to progressively reduce its own forces before conditions for a plebiscite could be created.
Pakistan loves quoting the plebiscite.
It is rather quieter about Step One.
🧠 And Islamabad preaching “Kashmiri self-determination” is rich
Human Rights Watch documented how Pakistan-administered Kashmir has operated under heavy political control from Islamabad, including constitutional restrictions against political activity challenging accession to Pakistan.
When Kashmiris in Poonch rebelled against Pakistan-administered authorities in 1955, Pakistan deployed the Punjab Constabulary and Army’s 12th Division. Pakistan’s own Express Tribune later described villages being burnt, people killed and prisoners subjected to harsh treatment.
And for all Islamabad’s chest-thumping about preserving “Kashmiri identity”, Kashmiri itself is today spoken by only a small minority in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, where Pahari is overwhelmingly dominant.
Pakistan demands self-determination across the LoC.
On its own side, dissent has repeatedly met central control, security crackdowns and political restrictions.
🎯 Strategic Lens
Shehbaz wants the story to begin with Indian Dakotas landing at Srinagar.
History refuses to cooperate.
22 October → Invasion
26 October → Accession
27 October → Indian military intervention
You cannot erase the first two dates and then lecture everyone about the third.
Pakistan did not arrive in Kashmir as its liberator.
It arrived with armed raiders — and has spent 79 years trying to rewrite what happened next.

🇮🇳 China Talks Peace While the PLA Pushes Into Arunachal Pradesh!
Reports of fresh India–China standoffs in Arunachal Pradesh expose a troubling contradiction in Beijing’s diplomacy.
While Xi Jinping promotes dialogue and regional stability, the PLA is reportedly maintaining forward positions in the disputed Asaphila sector, allegedly 6–7 km inside territory claimed by India.
Despite repeated high-level border talks, tensions reportedly remain unresolved.
China cannot preach peace at diplomatic summits while allowing military pressure to undermine trust along the LAC.
India’s sovereignty is not negotiable, and Beijing must understand that handshakes mean nothing without respect for borders and agreements. 🇮🇳

But through drones, small nations can fight bigger nations, as we have seen in the Russia-Ukraine and Iran-USA conflicts. Every Day Russia is sacrificing 10000-15000 soldiers every month."

🚨| PLA’s 'Elite' 112th Formation Faces Explosive Civilian Abuse Allegations
A detailed Chinese-language complaint circulating online accuses several senior officers associated with the PLA’s former 38th Group Army — reorganised into today’s 82nd Group Army — of serious abuses against civilians.
The allegations include:
• Violent assault
• Robbery and vandalism
• Illegal detention
• Abuse and unlawful searches
• Repeated intimidation of civilians
• Police allegedly refusing to pursue complaints
📍 The 2015 Baoding incident
The complainant alleges that on 26 November 2015, more than 20 personnel linked to PLA units 66336 and 66157 attacked civilians at the Baoding entrance of the Beijing–Hong Kong–Macau Expressway using hammers, electric batons and handcuffs.
The post claims the incident was captured on toll-station CCTV and repeatedly reported to police — without meaningful action.
🧠 But the officers and units are real
Public PLA records independently identify Xia Minglong as a senior commander of the formation that became Unit 66336 — the elite former 112th Mechanised Infantry Division/112th Combined Arms Brigade.
Open Chinese reporting also confirms that Huang Xuhong served as political commissar of the same formation before later becoming a senior political officer in the PLA and a delegate to the 19th Communist Party Congress.
That makes the complaint harder to dismiss as random internet fiction: the named command structure broadly matches real PLA postings.
⚠️ The allegation is ultimately about impunity
The complainant says the case was reported repeatedly over several years while Beijing and Hebei authorities failed to act.
If that account is accurate, the scandal is larger than one alleged assault.
It raises the question of whether senior PLA personnel effectively operated beyond ordinary civilian accountability.

It was clearly a motivational speech aimed at boosting the morale of ITBP jawans, not a formal military-strategic briefing. An officer (Babu) may have extensive administrative knowledge and experience, but expressing military realities in the right context and language is a different skill altogether. Not everyone is trained to be an orator and imperfect wording should not automatically overshadow the larger message.
In this era of psychological operations (PsyOps), information warfare and social-media propaganda, even a few words can be taken out of context and turned into a controversy. Constructive criticism is fair, but creating unnecessary outrage over a motivational address serves little purpose.
Judge the intent, the context, and the substance - not just the choice of words. Our jawans need confidence, preparedness and morale, while public debate needs maturity and perspective. 🇮🇳
@AmrataJoshi @SamarWatch @ThatArticleGuy @ZoraSingh36079
What he said as an IPS officer who served as a state DGP until a few months ago is not unusual. China has made enormous technological advances, and drones have transformed the battlefield. There is nothing surprising about that, and removing the video from the ITBP handle was a mistake. A seasoned military general would have expressed these points differently. Only a general or military strategist can speak with authority on this subject. His speech was likely intended for his jawans. Minor differences in perception can lead to small skirmishes, and they will keep happening. The key point is that we are ready.
An unarmed army doctor charged at a suicide bomber in Kabul and held on to him until the vest exploded.
His name was Major Laishram Jyotin Singh, from Bishnupur in Manipur, a doctor in the Army Medical Corps.
In February 2010 he was sent to Kabul to work with an Indian medical team. He had been there 13 days.
On 26 February 2010, around 6.30 am, suicide bombers attacked the guarded compound where the Indian officers were staying.
A car bomb killed three guards at the gate. A terrorist entered the compound, fired into the rooms and threw grenades.
Five unarmed officers were hiding in one room. A grenade hit it. The fire spread to a bathroom where five more were hiding.
Jyotin crawled out of the debris of his own room when he heard them shouting.
With bare hands, he charged at the armed terrorist and pinned him down. He held him until the terrorist set off his suicide vest.
Both died. Jyotin was 37.
The Ministry of Defence said his sacrifice saved 10 of his colleagues.
On 26 January 2011 he was awarded the Ashok Chakra, India's highest peacetime gallantry award.

📍 @UNGeneva, you are making allegations of misuse of digital surveillance, including biometrics, and internet shutdowns in the name of protests. During the protests, anti-government anarchic elements demanded resignations and caused damage worth lakhs to government property and security forces.
📍 If demanding resignations alone could run a country, Pakistan would not be pleading for support from the United States today.
📍 Since June, when Pakistani security forces were reportedly taking action against civilians in #PoJK, #Mirpur, #Rawalakot and #KhyberPakhtunkhwa, where was your response?
