Elon Musk on Optimus:
"We've started early production. The growth of Optimus is an S curve, but the initial curve is a shallow slope. We have the vast majority of the 1 million unit/year line installed at Fremont. There's still some things we need to tweak about the design. There's still quite a lot of work to do with the AI in the robot. I would expect that the AI, the electromechanical design, reliability, usage life, expect these issues to be solved by the end of next year. I remain convinced Optimus will be the biggest product on Earth. I do want to temper expectations that we still have a lot to get through, it will take about a year to get through that."
I know Optimus will be awesome. There are always growing pains, it’s normal! So many examples not just from your companies Elon but so many other areas. In my former industry we would order an electromechanical device costing between 8 & 25 million dollars 💵 and you would expect it to be perfect for that kind of money! In every case plus or minus the device would have 400 write-up’s requiring repair or software updates and it would take 3 to 4 years and sometimes more before the device was relatively clean of issues! Ongoing maintenance and software updates are just part of the process!!! For all you haters, get over yourselves! This is normal business in this industry!!! I applaud Elon and all who are making the new world come to life, it is very exciting!!!👏👏👏💪💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏🤠🤠🤠😎😎😎👍👍👍
Can't wait for the tactile skin for @Optimus_RH 's hands. He will need it for when he goes fishing with me in my retirement years. I am Alaskan. Fishing is required. Ooh maybe some sonar and polarized viewing and whatnot for fishing. :D
Why is the conference call such a downer compared to $SPCX?? We have the technology.
