#Meghalaya literally translates to Abode of Clouds and is actually so. A beautiful State, nice folks. Shillong is clean, pretty, many historical buildings. The High Court is in the heart of the city and looks majestic. This article by @ShefVaidya explains some naturally formed bridges that are well preserved.

On Mohan Bhagwat's statement regarding Captain Smit Machchhar, he says, "...We see that Captain Smith grew up here in India and according to the values and morals here in India, and this is one of the reasons that he saved so many people during this flight."

It was a privilege to be invited by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh as a guest at their annual Vijayadashami celebrations in Nagpur. The occasion was special since the RSS turned 101, concluding its centenary year.
Pujya Sarsangchalak, @DrMohanBhagwat ji spoke of being rooted in national identity. His address also touched upon the bravery of Captain Smit Machchar, a true hero for both Israel and Bharat. A line from the RSS prarthana which stuck with me was
“ परं वैभवं नेतुमेतत् स्वराष्ट्रम्
समर्था भवत्वाशिषा ते भृशम्॥”
"May we be fully capable, by your blessings, of leading this, our own nation, to the highest pinnacle of glory and prosperity.”
The contribution of the RSS in enhancing Bharat's massive progress is incomparable, both pre and post independence. This is why I have no doubt that Bharat will reach ‘Param Vaibhav’!

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, today completed his final flying sortie in an Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft, flying the HJT-16 Kiran Mk-1 trainer aircraft and bringing a memorable chapter of his flying career to a close.
The 55 minute sortie was particularly special as the CAS flew with his first flying instructor, Wing Commander V. S. Kochar (Retd), in aircraft bearing tail number U 707. The occasion marked a poignant reunion between instructor and student, reconnecting the CAS with the beginnings of his flying journey in the Indian Air Force.
The CAS undertook his first-ever flying sortie on 28 January 1984. More than four decades later, today's sortie in the Kiran brought his flying journey in the IAF full circle, symbolising the enduring bond between a pilot, his instructor and the skies that shape professional life.
The presence of Wg Cdr V. S. Kochar (Retd), who had guided the CAS during his earliest flying days, made the occasion especially meaningful, bringing together memories of the CAS's first flight and the culmination of his flying journey in IAF aircraft.
With this sortie, the CAS concluded a distinguished chapter of flying, carrying forward the experience, discipline and commitment that have defined his association with the Indian Air Force: Indian Air Force
