Most of the State Senators who refused this gerrymander got primaried out of their seats. They saved Republicans from the most hilarious dummymander in history.
This is insane! Here is a map of yesterday’s Indiana House results if they were drawn under the attempted Republican gerrymander map from last Fall. Thank you to @Vulst3 for breaking down the data to make this map. The gerrymander could’ve netted us a 9-0 or 8-1 map potentially!

Thank you @Justinjpearson for running a historic race in #TN09 on the frontlines of our civil rights movement against the billionaires & white supremacists.
They rigged the maps for him to lose by 21 points. He came within 1%.
A 20-pt swing means the South has something to say.

This is the key point from Mamdani.
Yeah, sure, obsess over swings and under and over performance all day long if that’s your thing.
But once Dems have won, narrowly or not, what do those Dems do with actual power? Not just to improve people’s lives but also to *stay* in power?
Zohran Mamdani: “It’s not enough for us as Democrats to win power. We have to use that power to deliver change that Americans can feel in their wallets. When you look at these campaigns, if we want to speak about James Talarico, he campaigned on a vision for universal childcare. If you want to talk about Keisha Lance Bottoms, she campaigned on a vision of cutting red tape to build housing. If you want to talk about Jocelyn Benson, she campaigned on a moratorium for data centers. What I’m excited to see now is a recognition that the work is only just starting and this has to be delivered for working people across the country”

Republicans hoped to gain 14 seats across OH, NC, FL, TX, AL and TN by making them more Republican, most into Trump+10 or redder districts. Instead, they didn't gain in any of these states and LOST TEN seats across them as some gerrymanders were neutralized and others collapsed.

Gina Hinojosa met with Beto O’Rourke before running. "Not one person can win Texas," he told her. "It has to be two." She and Talarico ran as a ticket, each appealing to different areas and demographics. Together, they changed what’s possible in Texas. theatlantic.com/politics/202…

James Talarico on the filibuster
“I believe that the majority has a right to govern in this country. And the filibuster, which is not in the Constitution, is a Jim Crow relic.”

If you’re a new Democratic US Representative or Senator you have an immediate job:
Get your constituent services up and running. There are a ton of you in deep red territory and that’s the only way to survive 2028. You entrench yourself as deep into your community as possible
