RD is the man!
Huge thank you to Coach Denton & @OlneyTigerTrack for investing in all our athletes and building them up for success. He took the time today to come out & run our guys through acceleration, deceleration and change of direction drills. He also broke out the new equipment for us 👀

OTF had a great day competing at the varsity and JV Reitz Rumble 7-on-7 in Evansville! The Tigers went up against some of the best teams in the Evansville area! Proud of the way our guys competed and represented Olney Tiger Football! #OTF #AllInAllUs 🔸◼️

Why early sports specialization is a mistake: Florida Gators S&C Coach Rusty Whitt explains that the best athletes don't specialize too soon. Playing multiple sports builds complete athleticism. Kids develop: ✅Better movement ✅Superior coordination ✅Sharp body awareness ✅Injury resilience Multi-sport kids stay healthier, perform higher, and avoid overuse. Via @MikeOHearn

Compelling argument for idiosyncratic training, which Asian nations struggle with, my experiences in Japan and Korea have shown me coaches there love both collectivised and sports specific training, looks good but doesn’t always match outcomes.

Completely agree on the benefits of working with other athletes, especially from other sports. I’ve learned a lot about training beyond what is good for track athletes just by researching workouts for the different girls sports. And I like knowing my wife’s team as well as I do.
