This is what strong partnerships look like. The RDF has helped protect civilians in the Central African Republic and restore security in other parts of the world. Rwanda continues to show that working together and taking action can make a real difference in bringing peace and stability to Africa.
The Chief of General Staff of the Central African Republic Armed Forces, Gen Zéphirin MAMADOU, who is in Rwanda on official visit, today held talks with RDF leadership at RDF HQs in Kimihurura. He was received by the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen MK Mubarakh bit.ly/3Wp46Yq

When hatred finds a voice in those entrusted with protecting lives, humanity itself is put at risk. No nation can build its future on fear, violence, and impunity.
The DRC deserves leadership that heals rather than divides, protects rather than threatens, and chooses peace over the dangerous politics of hatred. History must never remember silence as consent.
NBA defends Rwanda partnership
"Our mission is to inspire and connect people through basketball, both in the United States and more than 200 other countries and territories around the world where we engage with our fans. Our business around the world is not one-size-fits-all” said Tatum
the NBA, for now, is still in business with Rwanda.

Belgian documents from 1956 and 1959 show that Rwanda, like Burundi and the DRC, has mineral resources. Belgium knows the full historical truth but remains silent.
Facts matter more than propaganda.

The textile benefits had already been suspended for a long time. Today, Rwandan exports to the USA hover around 30 to 43 million dollars per year, amounting to just 1 to 2% of the country's total exports.
Coffee, tea, and especially minerals (coltan, tungsten, tin, gold) already benefit from very low or zero tariffs outside of AGOA.
So excluding Rwanda from AGOA in 2027 is a bit like threatening someone with taking away a benefit they hardly use anymore.
This is a desperate attempt to disguise authoritarianism as national security!
Rwanda ranking first in Sub-Saharan Africa on one dimension of the Rule of Law Index does not erase political repression, the persecution of opposition, the absence of genuine political pluralism, or documented violations of human rights.
And invoking the FDLR does not give Kagame a blank cheque to destabilize eastern DRC, support armed groups, and undermine regional sovereignty.
Legitimate security concerns must be addressed through lawful and accountable means, not used as an excuse for military adventurism.
Stop confusing Rwanda with Kagame’s regime. The security of a nation is not the security of one ruler.

While #Burundi is grappling with mounting, deep-rooted crises, including a deteriorating economy, significant losses of personnel and military equipment in Ndayishimiye’s military misadventure in eastern DRC, and growing divisions within its own armed forces.
The inept tyrant's minions still have the guts to meddle into Rwanda's internal affairs.

#Rwanda has already left this thing AGOA in In 2018,
Rwanda refused to become a dumping ground for second-hand clothing and other used goods from the United States.
Rwanda had learned that international relations are driven by interests, not by spoon-and-stick politics. It was time to stop accepting unequal terms and start charting its own course.
That was a defining moment when Rwanda chose to protect its domestic textile industry, promote local production, create opportunities for its own manufacturers, and put national interests first.
Rwanda chose economic sovereignty over dependency.

One thing must not be overlooked about @GeneralNeva’s decision to send Burundian troops into the DRC.
Was it truly about regional peace, or personal financial gain?
What justified the deployment, and who benefited from the monthly payments?
Was it peacekeeping, or profit-making dressed in the language of peace?

We must learn to tell a ladder from a leash. Are AGOA and similar initiatives truly meant to lift us up, or simply keep us crawling?
What kind of help promises development but punishes you the moment you dare to rise on your own?
You cannot call it empowerment while setting fire to our path to progress.

@POTUS
for once again holding the Kagame regime accountable. By terminating Rwanda’s AGOA eligibility, you have sent a clear message that trade privileges are not a free pass for authoritarianism, human rights abuses, and Kagame's practices that pose a threat to U.S. national security and foreign policy interests in the region. Never before was there a leader like President Trump who dared to call out Paul Kagame’s wrongs by terminating Rwanda’s AGOA eligibility and imposing sanctions over its role in the eastern Congo conflict. President Trump is the only U.S. president to bring the leaders of Rwanda and the DRC together for the Washington Accords to end the nearly 30-year conflict in eastern Congo after decades of failed efforts by others. The Rwandan and Congolese people who have endured years of suffering under Kagame regime warmly welcome President Trump’s principled stand for peace, accountability, and a brighter future.

Tshisekedi claims the FDLR have been rounded up and shipped to Kitona. His Foreign Minister says they cannot be neutralized because they hide in areas "controlled by Rwanda".
Same day. Same country. Two conflicting scripts.
Apparently, the only thing harder than fighting the FDLR is getting the choir to sing from the same hymnbook. 🤣
