York DPAC has members residing in North Yorkshire and will oppose parking charges for blue badge holders. We regard this as a cut to existing arrangements that will adversely affect disabled people on low, fixed incomes who have no alternative to driving.
Advance warning⚠️North Yorks Council have stated their intent to charge blue badge holders in all car parks from Ripon to Selby & Scarborough to Harrogate. Seem not to understand the PSED or reasonable adjustments either. Get ready to #FightBack

Disabled people in England have been betrayed by the weakening of accessible housing standards. The @NIOgov must not copy @UKLabour's failure.
This isn’t reform, it’s a political choice to build exclusion into the future.

I can feel the hostility growing and growing.
Disabled people deserve dignity and safety, not stigma or scapegoating.

#Budget2025 We welcome the removal of the 2 child benefit cap to lift children out of poverty.
We are however confused by the position taken by the MP for York Outer, Luke Charters, who voted against lifting it in July 2024. What changed ?
