BREAKING: Malaysia's exports surged +54.5% YoY in September, to a record $52.7 billion, their largest YoY increase since April 2021.
Malaysia’s exports have now seen above +35.0% YoY growth for 6 consecutive months, the longest such streak since the 1970s.
The surge has been driven by manufactured goods, which rose +58.6% YoY and accounted for 89.1% of total exports.
Electrical and electronic product exports rose +69.2% YoY amid strong global demand for AI-related products.
Exports surged +175.2% to Taiwan, +89.9% to the US, +50.4% to Singapore, +35.3% to the EU, and +22.1% to China.
The global AI investment boom is driving an unprecedented surge in Asian trade.
Ah, the late October breather I had predicted for stocks.
And I'd said, around 31 Oct, the optimism finishes.
Someone asked me how.
Too many disgruntled regions and ethnicities. Chuvash, Chechens, etc. It would be a big source of the Turkish power ascendancy I've predicted after 2035 or so.
Someone asked me when.
2027.
No, not at all.
Russia will.
Could India face a sectarian civil war?

As I predicted back in May 2026, I anticipate end of the Singaporean experiment in 2032-33.
2032 would be an annus horribilis: I expect invasion and maybe even sacking.
Many in Singapore do not understand what is going to hit them in the coming years. All the benefits that they have enjoyed the past 40-50 years from the tailwind of globalization, free trade, free movement of people, cheap money and financialization is reversing. The past 40-50 years were disadvantageous for commodity producers and manufacturers like #Malaysia and #Indonesia. The winds have changed and the next few decades will benefit resource rich countries at the expense of resource poor ones like Singapore. Add in deglobalization where there will be increasing restrictions on movement of goods, services, people and capital, it will be Singapore's turn to face headwinds and have to play defense. When the power shifts, existing suppliers and partners will find and create any reason and excuse to revoke old arrangements to renegotiate from a new position of strength
And the Singapore dollar? As I expect the USD and most indebted developed countries to debase and devalue significantly their currencies to inflate away their debt and rebalance their economies, the SGD will fall. By how much? Against the MYR, 2.0 would be a modest target.
This is not an attack against any country. The macro changes are way inevitable and beyond #Singapore's control. We all need to adapt and protect our wealth and reposition ourselves for what's to come.

I've always predicted India to enter a long war from around Aug 2026 onwards, which starts low-key and then develops into a massive war.
I've also always predicted India's northeastern and northern areas to be the areas which will be occupied/annexed in time to come.
The ITBP officer has now confirmed what I had said: the long war has begun. It also seems to have started precisely in the Jul 13-23 period.
Strong aftershocks continue at Tibet-Qinghai border, where already several have died.
I've predicted continued significant quake activity in the area till at least Nov 1.
