You know why some Congress supporters are nostalgic about that India?
Because it was an India where a handful could enjoy everything while millions struggled for basic survival.
AC trains had fewer waitlists because hardly anyone could afford them. Roads had less traffic because owning a car was a luxury. Tourist places were peaceful because most families couldn't afford holidays. Even basic facilities felt premium because most people were too busy fighting hunger.
(I say this from personal experience. I am the first person in my entire family to travel to another city just for a holiday)
Millions lived without proper houses, toilets, electricity or drinking water. Some barely had enough to eat. Many never even got to see a world beyond their villages.
Today, trains are crowded, roads are congested and tourist places are packed. Why? Because millions who were once excluded can now afford to participate.
Some people mistake the exclusivity of poverty for the elegance of a better India. They miss the India where the poor couldn't afford to enjoy life. We want an India where they finally can.

We had a District Youth Congress president leading riots against Gadar because it had an interfaith marriage.

Basically, bro wants the existence of goycattle. Watch feel good movies to get over the trauma of daily bomb blasts and 70% poverty during UPA.

Daily reminder, India is the only brown country in the world to have its own navigation constellation. That’s why twitter racism from other brownoids doesn’t sting at all. Fucking losers

Everyone's sharing that India just got its own GPS. The real story is better.
We've had NavIC for years. On Friday night, ISRO started bringing it back to full strength. NavIC needs at least 4 working satellites to work on its own. A few older ones had lost their atomic clocks, and NVS 02 couldn't reach its slot last year, so the system had slipped below that minimum. GSLV F18 just put NVS 03 up, which puts us on track to get back to 4.
This matters more than it sounds. GPS belongs to the US military, and during Kargil India was denied GPS data when it needed it most. Today our maps, shipping, fishermen's alerts, power grids, bank timestamps and defence systems all depend on satellite timing. NavIC means India controls that for itself.
NVS-03 also carries an atomic clock made in India. Not long ago, we imported every one. Next, the satellite climbs to its parking spot, with NVS-04 and NVS-05 lined up after that.
Steady progress, lessons learnt from setbacks, and a system getting stronger with every launch.
Well done, Team ISRO 🇮🇳

The real fuck up here is, basic roads, basic housing, basic piped water and basic schools.... These should have been fixed by 1970-75. In 2014 we should have been working on greater issues.
But the Legru dynasty cancer ensured that this would not even begin to be addressed till 1991. And then again fucked us over from 2004-14

See the golden era of India, built by Congress
By 1998, Nehru, Indira and Rajiv had all got Bharat Ratna.

People dont realize the insane level of poverty and deprivation that used to exist back then. People had no clue how old they were or what language they spoke. No photographs of their lives existed. They never left the village because they couldnt navigate the world outside it.

Good point.
Remember that it's "New Amsterdam" not "New York"
Let's see if Al Jazeera still lets you work if you spell "Qatar" as "Katar"
Also remember it's not Indonesia but "Dutch East Indies" ... capital being "Batavia", not Jakarta
Also, it's "Trucial states" not UAE.
Indian leftists will always boost anti Indian/ anti Hindu racism. Exhibit 1 million

This loss is on Havertz. He single-handedly knocked Arsenal out of another cup competition. This isn’t his first, second or third time. His signing has brought nothing but failure and constant trophy losses for Arsenal.
The reason Arsenal were able to win the Premier League last season was that he was injured.

2024 Arsenal lost the Premier League because of Arteta’s Havertz midfield experiment.
2025 Arsenal got knocked out of FA cup because of Havertz constant missed chances.
2026 Arsenal won the Premier League the season Havertz was injured for 90% of the season.
2026 Havertz fit again and he has singlehandedly knocked Arsenal out of the Carabao cup against a League two opponent.
Pound for pound Havertz has been the worst thing that has ever happened to Arsenal in the past 5 years.

That Arteta stare down and words to Dowman after the red was nasty work. It’s different rules for certain players, wouldn’t do the same to Havertz, can’t even call him out for missing chances in pressers.

Kai Havertz, with one of the most disgraceful individual performances I have ever seen. Hall of shame on every level. He looked below this level let alone at it. Horrible performance, watching teenagers show more personality. I’m actually furious
