americans are so propagandized they believe your employer should fire you if you have cancer
European hiring rules are genuinely insane.
For example - if you own a company in the Netherlands and one of your employees gets sick, you are required to pay at least 70% of their wages for up to 2 years.
If they can't go back to work after 2 years and you haven't done enough for their reintegration, you pay their wages for 1 more year. And you can't fire them until after that extra year!

Let’s not get too excited here — he’s definitely still a Zionist, and, of course, a billionaire — but this represents more of an ability to update his beliefs in response to the genocide than a lot of liberal Zionists who are still clinging to the fantasy of a “good Israel”…
Stunning piece about yet another old-guard, high-level, billionaire supporter of Israel who has lost faith in it - and in Netanyahu.
"Ronald Lauder has never lived in Israel. But in the past year the Jewish billionaire, who serves as president of the World Jewish Congress, has given up his remaining properties in the country, a sign of the deep shift in his views of its future. A deep sense of disgust appears on his face as he recounts this. "I've sold my apartment in Tel Aviv, I gave my home in Be'er Sheva to the Jewish National Fund, of which I'm also the chairman. I basically cut my ties there. Because it has become so…," Lauder grimaces, making a gesture of vomiting.
He goes on to blame Israel for failing to make peace, explaining that Israel actually didn't want peace:
"I realized at the end of the day that Israel really didn't want peace, but they wanted dominance. And I walked away from it."
"You've lost the Democratic Party, and you're losing the Republican Party. And it's all because of foolishness on your part. I want to tell Israelis, 'Shame on you! Shame on all of you. Your fathers and your grandfathers fought for this place, and you're losing it because of foolishness. Period.'"
I think this reflects the view of many who fought to establish Israel/supported its creation, but at the same time believed in peace. Perhaps an unjust peace, clearly a peace on Israel's terms - but a peace nonetheless.
But Israel has long swapped dominance and control for peace, and it has taken quite some time for many of its original supporters and champions to realize it - and admit to themselves the direction Israel actually is going in.

"WE’LL KILL THEM"
“October 8th G*za should have been glassed, completely carpet bombed entirely. There shouldn't have been a living soul there … I think it's very important to settle and annex G*za. I don't think this war is ever going to end unless we kick out the Arabs from there”.
In footage captured by The Guardian, Isr*eli settlers across Isr*eli society are seen expressing extreme statements in regard to the P*lestinian people, which involves forced displacement, collective punishment, and d*ath.
At one point a woman is seen calling for the annexation of not only P*lestine but also “Lebanon and Syria," claiming that those "are ours" and that if they refused to comply, they would “k*ll them”.
These interviews took place in the lead-up to Isr*el’s upcoming elections, which, according to sources, have retained the highest voter turnout since 1981.
Many political commentators claim that Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must hinge on another alliance with multiple far-right and ultra-Orthodox parties in order to continue to lead the country.
By doing so, it would create the most right-wing coalition in Isr*el’s history.
What will be the outcome of Isr*el’s election? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Hi, I'm free.
Beat up but fine. Police stole my phone. Settlers punched me in the face several times, likely broke @AdeleShoko's wrist and gave @the_andrey_x a concussion. They threatened to shoot us with an assault rifle over and over.
Will tell the full story later, but for now, I just want to be clear about what happened. We witnessed two settlers locking a military gate in Umm al-Khair, blocking the only way to more than twenty Palestinian communities: trapping families inside, preventing students from reaching school and workers from their jobs, blocking delivery of food and access to ambulances, etc.
It's a crime that the military has this ability at all--but last night, we discovered that random settler terrorists also have the key. We confronted them and began asking questions on camera, and they nearly murdered us for it. When the police finally arrived, they arrested Andrey and me and charged us with assault.
The gate is still locked.
