PLEASE REMEMBER: once your culture is gone, it is not coming back.
Government education has DELIBERATELY failed to teach the Great Books — the pillars of Western Civilization — for decades. This is how you erase a culture: by eroding its roots.
That's why we started our independent group to study the Western canon. If we’re to keep our civilization, we must continue the Great Conversation upon which it was built. The careful study of our roots is essential.
Western Civilization has given us the greatest works in history, but it takes effort and an open mind to read them. Read properly, Homer, Plato, Aristotle, Augustine, Dante, Shakespeare, and Milton are not mere names in a syllabus but guides to more beautiful life.
Join our reading group. Study the great works with us. We read a new classic every 4-6 weeks, and meet biweekly to discuss.
Take out a paid membership if you'd like to support our mission and join the discussions directly — it makes a huge difference to the time and resources we can dedicate.
You'll get:
- Live book club discussions (biweekly)
- Essays to guide you through the Great Books
- Access to our incredible community chat
- All past recordings, essays, and podcasts
- Ability to vote on what we read next...

"Hitler wasn't a socialist because his promise of socialism descended into totalitarianism in the precise way that every promise of socialism descends into totalitarianism."

When a sufficiently wise man really loves a woman, he wishes to walk the fine line between protecting her from all the corrupting influences in the world, and encouraging her to risk and push herself so that she may grow and transcend mediocrity - a most fragile but beautiful balance!
Men use language to establish a common reality with which to inhabit and engage.
Women use language much more colorfully. You might even say they see lying about reality as its primary utility.

"What bad has mass immigration to Europe ever done for us?"
- "The raping?"
"What?"
- "The raping"
"Oh yeah yeah. They do rape an awful lot that’s true yes."
- "And the welfare costs"
- "Oh yes the welfare costs, Rich. The unemployment benefits alone."
"Ok, I will grant you the raping, and the welfare costs, are two bad things mass immigration have done for us."
- "And the terrorism"
"Oh yeah obviously the terrorism. I mean the terrorism goes without saying. But apart from the raping, the welfare costs, and the terrorism…"
- "Violent crime"
- "Honor killings"
- "Car bombings
"Yeah, you are all right, fair enough."
- "Burqas"
- [nodding among the group] "Yeah, that is something we’d really not miss if the immigrants left."
- "Political support for bad economic policies."
- "And it’s less safe to walk in the streets at night now, Rich."
Ok, but apart from the raping, the welfare costs, the terrorism, the violent crime, the honor killings, the car bombings, the burqas, political support for bad economic policies and the unsafe streets, what bad has mass immigration ever done for us?

This pattern is true across the world. All the major advances and progress we take for granted are due to the greatness of .1% of the population. Whether civilization thrives or falls depends on whether those people can stay above the crabs in the bucket.
"The roads that we are using today were all built by Smith. All the infrastructure is Smith’s. We never suffered the way we are suffering now because Smith took care of the economy that supported all people and they had enough to eat. When he left power the [British] pound was on a par with the Zimbabwean dollar, but President Mugabe has killed all that." -Zimbabwean politician Patrick Kombayi, 2007

It's subtle, but with a trained eye, you can detect a slight difference between the way that The New York Times Editorial Board is treating the accusations against Ilhan Nur Said Elmi (aka Ilhan Omar) and the way they treated the accusations against Donald Trump.
The altruism is a smokescreen for what they are really after.
If only men had the knee-jerk reaction to get their bot armies to submit millions of complaints to the sponsors.
