This is going to be an embarrassingly, ridiculously long thread that might interest no one, but the reunion scene between Louis and Lestat in episode 8 of Interview with the Vampire is one of the most devastating and beautiful and visceral scenes I've ever seen, and definitely🧵

Well that's very cool. The Loneliness, both in the composition and in Sam Reid's performance, really is incredible.

Trying to distract myself from all the anxiety about the midterms tomorrow(!), so hey, nice to see The Vampire Lestat listed as one of the 10 best streaming shows of the year here (along with Widow's Bay, Industry, Margo's Got Money Troubles, etc.

Everything about this is delightful. Ron Perlman's "I would hit that ALL DAY," Jon Lovett saying "We all would", Beth Stelling objecting because she thinks Sam Reid can't possibly be real.
Actor Ron Perlman and comedian Beth Stelling answer if they would fuck Sam Reid as #TheVampireLestat in a segment called ‘Would You Fuck This Monster?’ in the Lovett or Leave It podcast hosted by Jon Lovett. 🔗: instagram.com/lovettshow/ree…

Stuff like People choosing a TVL moment for this list and Sam's Lestat being included in that hilarious Ron Perlman thing really feel like part of the show getting wider attention with season 3. And that's just cool to see for the show and the actors. Can't hurt for season 4!

I went to an @NTLive screening (at UCLA) of No Man's Land, starring Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen. I sat in the back row, on the aisle, and at some point I become aware that a man is standing nearby, in the doorway to the theater. I looked up: it was Patrick Stewart. It was a

Seeing Jacob, Sam, and Sheila at Emilia Clarke's party is so delightful and SO sweet for multiple reasons. It also reminds me that Emilia was once attached to a film about Elizabeth Barrett Browning... thinking of Sam as Robert Browning (their story is INCREDIBLE)... ah, dreams.

Love that!
Playbill credits AMC’s ‘Interview With The Vampire’ and ‘The Vampire Lestat’ as one of the main reasons for the vampire media renaissance and highlights Sam Reid's visit to ‘The Lost Boys’ cast last June/July in a new article. 🔗: playbill.com/article/the-los…

Just wanted to echo this because Sweeney Todd is some of the most brilliant, most shocking music (music AND lyrics) ever written. There's nothing like it. It's the weirdest funniest most beautiful most discordant and disturbing thing.
For all my IWTV watching friends: I want to heartily recommend the musical Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. The tone is very similar imo; a lush, bleak gothic sensibility, lurid violence, and a brash, surprising sense of sense of humor that's almost camp.

I've been reading a couple of different translations of both the Odyssey and the Iliad, and the most striking aspect to me is how moving Achilles' grief is, and how psychologically accurate and specific it feels. Like him dragging Hector's body around Patroclus' grave every day--

that need to perform repeated actions that briefly alleviate the grief/anger, only for it to come back again and again, feels so real. There's a lot that's fascinating, but I wasn't expecting the grief to be this powerful.

the Homonym concept remains one of the funniest things I've ever seen, and somehow the host's devlish/sadistic laughter whenever a contestant loses it is the funniest part.
Robert Carlock pointed towards the Homonym game show as his favorite cut-away gag in 30 Rock and yeah it's one of the best.

Wait this is INCREDIBLE. I love love love the idea of just going to a drag show and then hearing someone perform the Akasha speech from TVL.
hearing Akasha’s speech at a drag show was not on my bingo card, but i was and am still gagged. my jaw dropped as soon as i heard it start

This is great, that seemed like egregious animal cruelty. I hope there's a plan in place to make sure the horses are taken care of.

I always think of this Vogue shoot with Jessica Chastain where they had her recreate various masterworks, and I basically want exactly this with Sam and Jacob. Put them in a John Singer Sargent. vogue.com/article/where-to-f…
For season 4, I hope we get more photoshoots like this @GQMagazine one that really understand and utilize how timelessly beautiful Jacob and Sam's faces are. These shots were just so good.
