10/10 event organizer
Looking at hosting more events through out the country due to the success of our hardtech meetup in SF. We had over 80+ founders/VCs come; many YC founders as well as @a16z and @sequoia presence.
Currently have opportunities to host in DC, FL, SF and NYC coming up with sponsorships now.
Anyone interested in hosting/sponsoring a hardtech/defense meetup in their city?
Purpose? Meet some cool people in hardtech/defense and host a fun party/event.
I have been hosting events at mansions, yachts and (most recently) a robot fighting arena.
What I provide: I'll bring everyone together and ensure everything goes smoothly on time. Everything else can be figured out if I have a venue/interested sponsors in a popular city.
Comment on this post/shoot me a DM and we'll figure out dates.

Telecom CEOs to investors
“Starlink Mobile will never work! Trust me!”
Telecom CEOs to FCC:
“Please block Starlink mobile”
love this. Generative is so compelling clear upside, but we shouldn't sleep on predictive AI.
JUST IN: Tractian raised $130M at a $1.4B valuation to build sensors that warn factories before their machines break down.
Its sensors attach to industrial equipment, tracking vibration, ultrasound, and other signals to detect problems early.
-AI identifies faults and recommends fixes
-Trained on a massive industrial failure dataset
-Used in 2,000+ facilities worldwide
-Customers include Coca-Cola, Whirlpool, and Eli Lilly
-Also monitors data centers and critical infrastructure
Unplanned downtime costs the world’s 500 largest industrial companies an estimated $1.4 trillion annually.

Peter Thiel has a blunt test for whether a startup team is thinking clearly.
Watch how they talk about their own outcomes.
His observation: when founders start framing results as luck — "maybe it works, maybe it doesn't, so let's just invest a little and see" — that's not prudent risk management. That's a diagnostic failure.
The mechanism is specific. Luck-framing doesn't emerge from humility. It emerges from not having done the analytical work to understand *why* your business will win. If you've truly mapped the competitive dynamics, the customer psychology, the timing — you don't describe the outcome as a coin flip. You describe what needs to be true and why.
The portfolio mindset ("let's see what happens") is what you default to when you don't have conviction built on evidence.
Thiel's sharpest version of this: the founders of Google, Amazon, and Apple in their early days weren't operating on hope. They had specific theories about why they would win that others couldn't see yet. Bezos mapped out why e-commerce would scale through selection and logistics before the market existed. That's not luck-denial — that's rigorous foresight presented as conviction.
When a founding team tells you "we'll figure it out," the question isn't whether they're optimistic. It's whether they can articulate the actual mechanism of their advantage.
If they can't, the luck framing isn't a personality trait. It's a capability gap.
Blaming luck is what you do when you've stopped thinking.

There is nothing to worry about.
Nothing important is run on PHP or old software—except the water & electrical grid, a few government services like our missile defense systems and a handful of electrified fences at the zoo (for the lions, tigers and cobras).

Benefit of the Bargain BEAD reforms, led by @ArielleRothNTIA, removed unnecessary regulation and excessive costs.
Critics predicted disaster, but the data say otherwise.
Most locations will see fiber and the agency is adjusting to new market realities.

I am so sold on @REK. Robot fights are going to be bigger than all sports in this country. Real Steel is here.
Imagine teams all around the US building robots for combat?? It will be the F1 of UFC.
And no one else in the US is doing this right now. This is probably the craziest part of this. Everyone is sleeping on this.
First time seeing a robot fight live. Two @engineairobot T800s on stage. This will be a new category of entertainment. The vibes are unmatched.
Thanks @REK for putting this on, and thanks @edgarpavlovsky @jjkaplowitz @barrett_io etc for hosting.

We're out of stealth! @antropirobotics builds fully autonomous factories for metal parts.
Our goal: US quality, China prices, delivery under 24 hours.
In 6 months, we built our first factory, started shipping, and turned profitable. All bootstrapped.

The @USNavy has selected Radiant to deploy our Kaleidos microreactor at Naval Weapons Station Crane, Indiana.
With this selection, Radiant is now the only nuclear microreactor company with partnerships across the Army, Navy and Air Force.
The Navy has more than 70 years of safe reactor operations. It wrote the playbook on reactor safety. Earning its confidence is powerful independent validation of Kaleidos.
This milestone moves us closer to our goal: reliable, resilient nuclear power wherever the mission demands. Through our work with all three branches, we’re building a clear path from military deployment to nuclear energy at scale for government and commercial customers.
