Special delivery from @crossway—beautiful, though surprisingly small! William Tyndale's NT, 500th Anniversary Edition (Leather over board).
What a gift the original was to the English-speaking Church, and what a gift this renewed copy is today!
Brilliant!
This is Pele, my new rendering library for diagrams and charts, compatible with the latest Mermaid syntax.
- 100-500× faster than mermaid.js
- 6× smaller bundle
- No dependencies
- Easy to theme
- Responsive to device width
In pursuit of making Obsidian insanely fast and cohesively designed, I always found the Mermaid library to be too big, too slow, and too hard to theme. Pele will be the new renderer in the next version of Obsidian, but you can start using it now.
Pele [ˈpɛlɛ] is named after the goddess of volcanoes and fire. It's open source under the MIT license. Try the playground!
This is INSANE! One day soon, @bible_standard_ will be out and you'll love it. Seeing this (almost) makes me want to run iOS rather than Android just to get it sooner 😜
Our Saturday mornings have the same slow start each week:
- ☕️ Coffee: start the kettle, grind the beans, brew
- ✝️ Bible: Read and discuss Scripture
- 🎶 Hymnal: Sing praises to our God and King
What does your Saturday morning look like?
This morning is 2 Kings 8 with some Ethiopian beans (Worka Sakaro) from @EdisonCoffee 🤓
I have a Muslim friend who disagrees with most of Islam, but he still clings to the Qur'an.
Despite this, he cannot see his need for Jesus. Would you pray for "A" to know and follow Christ?
What an absolute joke legacy media is!
I watched the same livestream, and the car flew at least 3 times.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled what he described as a "flying" car, equipped with thrusters, during a livestreamed event at his SpaceX rocket company's facility on Thursday. cbsn.ws/4s4wR8p
Just got home after two long but fun days running the pop-up @_swordandtrowel at @KNCSB's Church Forward 2026.
Met so many pastors and heard their stories of sorrow and joy as they serve their local churches in Kansas and Nebraska.
What a joy it was to serve them as part of @MBTS's mission of being for the Church!
This guy 😎
What is biblical hope?
Often, "hope" is misused to suggest a wishfulness for something, but that is not what we find in Scripture.
Titus 2:13 points to the certainty and surety (i.e., hope) of the coming of our God and Savior Jesus Christ in glory and majesty.
Christian, hope in the coming of Christ, knowing it will come 🙌
In honor of Durin's Day, we made a day of it:
- Hobbit-inspired Meals: Breakfast, Second Breakfast, Elevenses, Luncheon, Afternoon Tea, Dinner, and Supper
- Watching The Hobbit (extended, of course)
We also honored the Christian foundations within Tolkien's stories by singing hymns of praise and celebrating the goodness of God.
It is good to be Christian and to live it out with friends.
God is clear, even before giving the Law to Moses:
5 "And for your lifeblood I will require a reckoning: from every beast I will require it and from man. From his fellow man I will require a reckoning for the life of man.
6 “Whoever sheds the blood of man,
by man shall his blood be shed,
for God made man in his own image. (Genesis 9:5–6, ESV)
The death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person. The common good can be safeguarded and the requirements of justice can be met without recourse to capital punishment: effective systems of detention have been developed that protect citizens while at the same time do not completely deprive those who are guilty of the possibility of redemption. #NoDeathPenalty
Abortion = Murder
People wonder why birth rates are falling. A large part of it comes from mothers killing their children in the womb.
Winter is my favorite season of the year because it is cold, often snowy, and begins with the celebration of Christ's birth.
The beauty of Autumn, however, is second to none🍂 The colors with which God paints His creation bring joy to the soul!
Men like this give me hope for my neighbors to the north in Canada 🫡
