Would love to share @NewYorker articles with friends, but I get the need for a paywall. @nytimes solved this with “gift an article.” What if @NewYorker let subscribers share an article for $1? Great stories spread, and the magazine still earns.

I just learned Culver City's Mayor @AlbertVeraJr led a vote to remove the city's protected bike line last night. This is a sad backward step for Culver City and Los Angeles County.
Mayor @AlbertVeraJr and his 2 colleagues just voted to ELIMINATE THE PROTECTED BIKE LANE to add more car lanes despite electeds across the state, 32 organizations, 20 Culver City students, the threat of a CEQA lawsuit, and an avalanche of public comments urging him to lead.

I walked by @MrTravisBennett (Elz) today. I am not one to spot or recognize celebrities. But I really appreciate his character in DAVE and I was oddly starstruck. The best I could muster was "really looking forward to season 3". He smiled and said "me too". Made my day.
