Marathon debut: finished! 🏅
Last year, I couldn’t imagine it. On the course, I wanted to give up more times than I can count. But I crossed that finish line. Heart full.
Legs considering legal action. 😂❤️

Mental illness doesn't excuse behavior.
There's a belief that a diagnosis means a person isn't responsible for their behavior.
Two things can be true: we can understand someone is mentally unwell and still understand they're dangerous.
How do I get this ticket? 😭😭😭😭
Happy birthday young man...

Our passion and our drive is not matched by processes and resources and infrastructure that works. The EFF’s commitments to insourcing municipal services and expanding access to basic infrastructure with a greater emphasis on how residents participate in decisions affecting their communities; ward-based people’s assemblies, technical oversight teams to scrutinise infrastructure spending and a one-stop municipal service centre where entrepreneurs and informal traders can get help with permits, registration and compliance.
We work hard in Johannesburg, but we also come here to play and to dream, and to be creative. And I think it’s very important to not neglect that.

Covert narcissists control people through guilt tripping and by telling everyone how badly they've been mistreated.
If they can't control you, they try to control what people think about you.

And ultimately, relationships are about taking turns. Any relationship where only one person ever gets a turn, to be prioritised, to be helped, to be ill, to be vulnerable, to need, to be…whatever, will ultimately suffer. Because everyone needs and deserves a turn.
People with a strong sense of duty will show up for you. That’s their character. People who love you will show up for you because that’s what love looks like. But this doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t constantly be interrogating the reasonableness of your needs and demands.

I don't know why people are misunderstanding this tweet when it occurs more often than not. There's even a tweet trending, right now, about a woman saying her childless friends must accept that they must show up more for her than she will show up for them.
The last line of my ILJ article:
“The dignity of every employee is non-negotiable.”
SA labour law already has the tools to treat persistent misgendering as harassment and, where appropriate, misconduct. No new law needed.
