$ASTS Ligado is prime real estate. HODL!
Been getting a lot of questions on Ligado in my DMs. Here's a summary of where we are on it. All signs are positive. People had not been very focused on this until recently - Grain and a low stock price, as expected, cause people to look for whatever they are "missing," so I feel like it's time just to refresh the DD on where this stands. $ASTS

$ASTS - I don't think many on X understand the predicament AST is in. Our core thesis and bulk of the business is predicated on partners, MNOs. Starlink aiming to disrupt them, first such threat in a long while. This adds risk to AST, not removes it. As such the MNOs and AST are going to selloff, be suppressed on the upside until the resolution comes. To say that MNOs have a lot to lose here and need to act is correct, but do not discount how much AST success depends on MNOs NOT being disrupted AND the market acknowledges that. Right now, the MNOs are being discounted despite good earnings and this will continue until they: - Acknowledge the threat (invites more downside) - Guide for mitigation of that threat (upside) Until that moment, the pleasure will remain.

$ASTS: Thanks to their transparent bent pipe architecture respecting data sovereignty across borders around the world, I believe that @AST_SpaceMobile will inevitably become one of the world’s most important pieces of wireless infrastructure. Brilliantly invented by @AbelAvellan and his team. Shoutout to CTO Huiwen Yao. This is why over and over again we see senior execs leave their cushy jobs to join AST SpaceMobile. They fall in love with the story, vision, and passion of AST. Just a few quick examples: @scottwisniews, @davidmarshack, @JamannerManner, JR Wilson, @luizabud1.

$ASTS - AST SpaceMobile launch schedule updated: Chris Forrester is the author of this article. He is a veteran British broadcasting, satellite communications, and media journalist, as well as an industry consultant. He is one of the most widely published trade correspondents covering the commercial space, satellite operator (GEO/LEO), and pay-TV sectors. I wonder if he talked with AST recently and put this out: 👀 AST’s BlueBird rockets #14, #15 and #16 should launch later in October. AST’s BlueBirds #17, #18 and #19 will ship to the launch site and launch later in November, on a Falcon 9. BlueBirds #20, #21 and #22 should ship from their Midland factory and launch by mid-December. BlueBirds #23 – #27 are said to be ready to ship by late-November and launch by year-end. The 2027 schedule suggests the following ambitions: BlueBirds #28, #29 and #30 should launch by mid-January BlueBirds #33, #34 and #35 could launch by early February BlueBirds #36 – #43 to launch by early March. BlueBirds #44, #45 and #46 to launch later in March, and hence wrap the ambition for 46 satellites in orbit by the end of Q1 2027. "The total target is to have 243 satellites in orbit by the end of 2028 and thus supply a true global service. 90 craft are needed on orbit to commence a global services, says AST." advanced-television.com/2026…

$QS | Per The Elec, Korea’s Mplus has developed assembly equipment for QuantumScape cells and is validating it for mass production (industry sources, not confirmed by QS or Mplus). This lines up with QS’s Q2 2026 letter, which says the company is working closely with established battery equipment vendors to lay the groundwork for future factories. Mplus would be one of them. The trail goes back to spring. In April, Mplus said it had completed its solid-state equipment development and won pilot orders, adding it had already supplied pilot lines for several global SSB makers. In late July, Mplus said it was co-developing assembly equipment with an unnamed US SSB maker, with joint testing and validation at the customer’s request. On October 20, The Elec named that customer: QuantumScape. Reported scope: notching, stacking, packaging, plus high-temperature / high-pressure tools specific to solid-state. Who is Mplus: historically an SK On supplier (over 80% of revenue in 2022, about 22% in 2025). It has since broadened its base to US and European battery makers, including a European defense player for prismatic cells, believed to be Saft per the article. Order backlog: KRW 63.1B at end of Q2 2026. Eagle Line reminder (Q2 letter): core tool uptime > 90%, targeting another doubling of cell output in H2 2026. Most speculative part of the article: QS is reportedly considering outsourcing line operations, with talks with Korean battery makers. Nothing in QS disclosures confirms this so far. My hypothesis: in a licensing model (PowerCo up to 85 GWh/yr), an equipment vendor with tools already tuned to the QS process shortens ramp-up for every future licensee.

$ASTS $SPCX: There is currently no commercial launch scheduled out of Florida with Falcon 9 until the @northropgrumman Cygnus NG-25 resupply mission to the ISS in late November. In theory BB14-16 should be good to go any time between late October and late November. If BB14-16 is still launching in October, then we should expect to hear about a launch date this week. 🤞 If BB17-19 is Ready To Ship by the end of month, it is possible we can fit in BB17-19 before the Cygnus mission. Starlink missions out of Vandenberg are already showing up to November 10. We should get an update sooner rather than later. Stay tuned: spacex.com/launches

$ASTS — Service readiness is advancing. AST SpaceMobile just announced progress toward initial space-based cellular broadband coverage in key global markets. This is not another development update. It is the company signaling that the network is moving closer to turning on real service. The European operators LOI already put the commercial framework in motion. This PR moves the operational side forward. The story is shifting from “building satellites” to “getting ready to connect phones.” NFA.
