i'd argue that proper use of goto in C leads to a safer code base and simpler flow! just imagine trying to cleanup stuff inside each nested conditionals block on error! with goto you get one final step before return where you can release/cleanup stuff and the code looks flat

I have replaced Tracy (a giant/complex C++ profiler) with Spall.h (a single header C profiler) and i am so happy! it just works well with the clang's auto instrumentation with a little gluing.

I've been using my own adhoc C code generator/template system! C doesn't have generics, so you either have to use opaque types inside containers (void*), or use crazy C macros, in both cases you lose type checking and debug visibility to some great degrees!

writing code means willingness to deal with complexities firsthand and coming up with original thoughts! those who delegate this to AI are basically ceasing themselves from growing as an engineer! honestly most of the vibe coders never really cared about quality anyway!
