SR-1 on track for late 2028 launch spacenews.com/sr-1-on-track-…
Another successful fix ⏤ after 49 years and 16 billion miles! 🔧
Engineers recently turned off devices on Voyager 1 and substituted them with lower-power alternatives. Nicknamed the “Big Bang,” the energy-saving effort will allow the remaining instruments to operate longer. ½

BREAKING: @SierraSpaceCo's Dream Chaser has received a Re-entry licence from the @FAAnews.
This authorizes a return to Vandenberg Space Force Base from Earth orbit.
Re-entry, however, requires Dream Chaser to launch, and when (or if) that happens is a very open question.

Hull 3, a Haven-1 qualification primary structure, is complete. We manufactured, inspected, and proof tested it in-house in Long Beach in five months, four months faster than Hull 2, the flight structure. Hull 4 is next, allowing us to further refine our process.
Today our team lifted and installed New Glenn's second stage (GS2) at @NASAStennis. The vehicle was tandem lifted from its cradle using the Main Derrick Crane at the historic B-2 Test Stand to lift the forward end, while a mobile tailing crane simultaneously lifted the aft end. GS2 was shifted to a vertical orientation, lifted 218 feet above ground, and lowered into the B-2 test position. A great example of what Team Blue and our NASA partners can accomplish together. Final preparations for our first hotfire test are ongoing.

Neutron’s Stage 2 and Thrust Module have arrived to Virginia. After a short barge ride from the Neutron Factory, these major assemblies have now been offloaded on Wallops Island and are going through arrival checkouts.
Next up: integrated fluids testing and launch mount interface checkouts for the Thrust Module, with Stage 2 to follow on the test stand beside it soon after.

The core stage of the Artemis III rocket is officially stacked.

ALT The bottom half of the orange core stage of the Artemis III rocket is suspended vertically in High Bay 3 of the VAB as a crane moves it into place above the mobile launcher. Several levels of observation platforms are visible behind the core stage and one of the solid rocket boosters is seen below. Credit: NASA/Sean Cannon

Seeing S42 and S43 being lifted for catch-related testing is bringing back memories of witnessing Starships hurtling towards earth during the high-altitude testing phase.

The new white accents on the SOFI are quite strange and unusual for rockets with SOFI on them but it looks awesome!

An unstoppable air leak on the ISS' Zvezda module forces permanent closure of its compartment, in turn requiring redocking of all future Russian cargo ships between two ports for cargo delivery and orbit corrections.
