I trust Jeff Rath about as far as I could throw him.
WOW!
Jeff Rath posted text messages that he alleges are from Danielle Smith!
These texts seem to show her coordinating with the separatists to launch their original question, though Rath claims he took them as her coordinating with @LukaszukAB !
What do you think?
Bad argument. Those who didn’t vote, while not voting for the governing party, also were not motivated to vote for any opposition. Not voting is a legitimate form of protest & freedom in our country. It does not delegitimize a legitimate victory.

I just wanted to send a thank you to the voters of British Columbia for showing up and voicing your opinion on the change in leadership this past weekend. I love my country and my now home province of BC and am optimistic this change will allow one of the most beautiful places in the world to prosper even further. I wish @LDoerkson and his team nothing but the best in the work that’s ahead. 🇨🇦

It’s hard to put into words how monumentally David Eby miscalculated in BC.
Calling a snap election only to lose in a landslide to a party that hadn’t formed a majority since before the invention of the jet engine…they’ll write books about that level of duncery.

A lot of the recent drama on the right in BC came from a crazy right populist splinter party, @One_BCHQ.
Made up of self styled “real conservatives” with the usual assortment of weird obsessions & conspiracy theories: vaccines, ostrich farms, chem trails, xenophobia, MAGA North, all communicated with the volume nob stuck on 10.
Basically the BC counterpart of hard core Alberta separatist activists, or Bernier’s @peoplespca.
Tonight they’re at 1.4% of the vote, after two years of being a hugely divisive distraction on the right of BC politics.
Yet another reminder to Conservative parties: ignore the crazy fringe of the hard populist right. Don’t let the tail wag the dog. Let them stay in their little fringe parties.
Being a principled conservative party does not mean pandering to incoherent, perennially angry populism. Instead, propose bold, thoughtful policy reforms rooted in conservative principles that appeal to the broad mainstream. Just like the @Conservative_BC did in this winning campaign.

David Eby didn’t honour or value the majority mandate voters gave him less than 2 years ago. He could have been Premier until October 2028. He threw it away and played a cynical political game by calling this election. Frustrated voters in a bad economy called ‘bullshit’.
Keep in mind these guys, who can’t run a social media account, thought they could run a nation, and think they can out-organize the governing political party

Bravo BC!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
What a great day for beautiful British Columbia, and all of Canada!
The worst government in Canada, and in BC history, has been completely repudiated.
David Eby’s divisive, hard left politics of envy kicked to the curb.
And a principled, serious, renewed Conservative Party given a huge mandate for change!
What a great sequel to Albertans’ rejection of separatism. Now we’ll have these two western powerhouses, plus Saskatchewan, aligned to build Canada into a global energy and resource super power! 🇨🇦💪🏼

These and the corresponding whites are the best Flames unis OAT and they should be full time home & roads.
And the new champion for easiest decision I’ve made in 2026 is…
FOR EVERY INDEPENDENCE SUPPORTER WONDERING WHATS GOING ON…
Consider that everyone attacking Mitch Sylvestre and Jeff Rath are now on Team Smith-Carney.
Cory Morgan, Keith Wilson and Chris Scott all now openly support Danielle Smith.
Anybody that listened this week knows that Smith is unelectable in 2027.
Smith has told 520,000 Albertans representing 56% of the UCP vote in the last election to accept that the UCP supports Canadian federalism or find a new party.
SMITH also said that Alberta will never be independent as long as she is premier.
By openly alienating a majority of the UCP Base Smith has committed political malpractice that will hand the province to Nenshi.
If anyone cares - both Wilson and Scott are on the record with the Globe and Mail today supporting a federalist premier who has committed millions of tax dollars to attempting to destroy the Alberta Independence movement.
With friends like these, who needs enemies.
For those worried about the UCP fracturing, the separatists can’t even keep their own sing issue ideology inside one tent. Already there’s:
The Independence Party
Wildrose Independence Party
Wildrose Loyalty Coalition
I bet a half dozen separatist entities contest 2027
Replies to this are sane and hinged as per normal
Our prayers remain with all affected by the tragedy at @CanadianForces Base Wainwright. To support the recovery of soldiers affected by traumatic burns, the U.S. government has made a formal offer of assistance and resources to the Government of Canada, should it be deemed necessary.

This is so fucking based
Maybe they're starting to treat Carney like he deserves
There is a brand of Alberta conservative that is so blindly rigid. Thank goodness they’re so piss poor at organizing (bc the second you disagree with the tiniest thing they split up the org) bc these guys are allergic to winning.
You can be ideologically pure or you can govern.
OK. Here's a summary of tonight's Alberta Prosperity Project meeting, with Mitch Sylvestre doing most of the talking.
Sylvestre denies he and Jeff Rath were fired from the organization, claiming Tanya Clemens and Chris Scott lacked the authority to remove them.
He accused Danielle Smith of betraying separatists and warned that alienating independence supporters could hand the next election to the NDP.
He's aiming to mobilize 1,000 independence supporters for the upcoming UCP AGM in Calgary, with plans to elect four or five sympathetic provincial board members who could help trigger a leadership review.
Another organizer noted three UCP constituency associations have already passed motions calling for a leadership review. She alleged UCP president Rob Smith was working behind the scenes to get constituency associations to pass letters supporting the premier.
APP supporters are being encouraged to buy UCP memberships, attend constituency association meetings and seek positions on local boards.
Sylvestre didn't ruled out forming a new political party if independence supporters are pushed out of the UCP. He also flatly rejected suggestions that his efforts could split the UCP and help elect the NDP.
"Who split this party up? Danielle Smith split this party up. Period. End of conversation."
And perhaps the most revealing statement of the evening came when Sylvestre explained why separatists should join the UCP:
"If you're buying a UCP membership, you are not buying it to support the UCP. You are buying it to support our cause for independence."
