Withdrawal via API call without a 2FA or confirmation step is pretty wild.
here’s what happened in the polymarket hack:
> polymarket just got hacked through a speed tracking script.
> polymarketdotcom loaded a small script from @DebugBear, a company that checks how fast websites run
> someone swapped that file for a wallet drainer. same name, same address
> your browser trusted it like polymarket's own code
> it found your logged in session and checked your balance
> then it sold your positions and sent your money out through polymarket's own withdrawal system
>no password or seed phrase needed

Eric Migicovsky proved people wanted a smartwatch. In 2012 he asked Kickstarter for $100,000 to build the Pebble and raised over $10 million.
Apple launched its watch in April 2015 and sold two of every three smartwatches that year.
Pebble went insolvent the next year.
Apple can reach hundreds of millions of people the day a product ships. It can wait for a smaller company to show the demand, then enter.
Pebble proved people wanted smartwatches. Apple sold most of them.

A founder can spend an entire month doing work that makes the business look more complete.
-New website.
-Better onboarding.
-More features.
-Cleaner design.
And at the end of the month, still have no better answer to why someone should buy.
That's a difficult thing to admit when you've genuinely worked hard.
