On October 17, The Sameer Project collaborated with a Jaber Thabet and his team in Gaza to organize a mobile cinema at Al-Karama Camp in Al-Bureij, giving displaced children an evening of cartoons, music, laughter, and a chance to just be kids. The amount of water available in Gaza has decreased once again in the past period, please help: chuffed.org/project/help-us-…. Damaged infrastructure, disruptions to desalination plants because of electricity outages, severe fuel shortages, major pipelines with brackish water closed by the occupation, and restrictions on essential equipment and repairs have further reduced an already devastated water supply. But Gaza’s water catastrophe is man-made. And it is far from over. Look at the joy on these children’s faces when The Sameer Project’s water truck arrives. Something as basic as safe drinking water has become a reason to celebrate. Clean water is the single most important form of aid we can provide.
