Well done Ulster 🇬🇧
There is well over 15,000 rammed into Portadown already, with bands still at the starting point. They said we had no support. They said no one cared. They’ve got their answer tonight. Stick that in your media editorials and columns!

Best comedy show ending of all time @JoeVorell
It is now 37 years ago that the last episode of #Blackadder Goes Forth was screened. This TV gold concluded 3 hrs of unmatched of comedy to many of us. But there was a deeper message throughout encapsulated in this moving final scene. Vid: BlackadderQtes

They have all completely misread it. They believed loyal Portadown stood alone. Little did they realise not calling people to Portadown was a deliberate choice. The call has now gone out, and they are all in for a big surprise. Stand with the lawful 35. Stand with Portadown District LOL No 1. Stand with the human rights defenders. We will be second class citizens in our own country no more. The days of unionism must give, and nationalism must get are over!

The best tank of the Korean War was British, and most Americans have never heard of it: the Centurion. When people think of tanks in Korea, they picture the North Korean T-34s rolling south in June 1950, or the American Shermans and Pershings that stopped them. Those tanks fought the famous battles of the war's first year. But by early 1951, the North Korean tank force had been mostly destroyed. The war turned into something else. Hills. Trenches. Bunkers. Mud and frozen ridgelines. The tank that fit that war best came from Britain. The Centurion was designed in the last years of WW2 to beat the German Panther and Tiger. The first prototypes reached Europe in May 1945, just days after Germany surrendered. It never fired a shot in that war. By 1950, the version heading to Korea carried a powerful 20-pounder gun. It also had a stabilizer that helped the gunner stay on target, rare at the time. Thick, sloped armor. Big, heavy, and built to keep going. In November 1950, the 8th King's Royal Irish Hussars arrived in Korea with their Centurions. The terrain looked like the last place anyone should use a 50-ton tank. Then came April 1951. The Battle of the Imjin River. A huge Chinese offensive smashed into the British 29th Brigade. Over three days, the Gloucestershire Regiment was surrounded and nearly wiped out. The rest of the brigade had to fight its way out through a narrow valley swarming with Chinese troops. The Centurions covered the retreat. They drove back and forth along the escape route, firing into Chinese positions at close range. Infantrymen climbed onto their hulls and clung to anything they could grab as the tanks pushed through. Chinese soldiers tried to climb aboard to drop grenades inside. Tank commanders shot them off each other's tanks with machine guns. The Hussars lost several Centurions. But they helped get hundreds of men out who otherwise might never have made it. Then the war settled into stalemate, and the Centurion found its true calling. Crews drove them up steep hills that nobody believed a tank could climb. Once on top, they dug in and became armored artillery. From high ground, the long, accurate 20-pounder could pick off Chinese bunkers and firing slits from long range. Enemy shells often bounced off. Soldiers on other tanks watched in disbelief as the Centurions crawled up ridgelines like mountain goats. And the story only got bigger after Korea. In 1953, Australia parked a Centurion close to an atomic bomb test in the outback to see what would happen. The blast scorched it, blew off parts, and pushed it backward. Afterward, the crew started it up and drove it away. That same tank later served in Vietnam, took a hit from an RPG, and survived that too. Israel bought hundreds of Centurions, upgraded them, and used them in the 1967 and 1973 wars. In 1973, on the Golan Heights, a small force of Israeli Centurions held off a massive Syrian tank assault in one of the most famous armored battles in history. India used Centurions to smash Pakistani Pattons in 1965. More than 4,000 were built. Some versions stayed in service well into the 21st century. The tank designed to beat Hitler never got its chance. Instead it climbed the hills of Korea, survived an atomic bomb, and served in more wars than almost any tank ever made.

Britain once threatened war with its oldest friend. 🇬🇧 A friendship sealed at Windsor in 1386. Still in force today. 🤝 In 1839 Britain told Portugal: stop shipping human beings. Or the Royal Navy will stop you. ⚓ Off East Africa, HMS Modeste chased a slave ship for nearly nine hours. 695 people stepped onto a jetty at Cape Town. Never sold. 🕊️ They teach you the ships that carried people. Not the ones that stopped them. Watch the full story. 🎥

Security staff protect our hospitals, shops and public venues. As such, their licences must provide genuine assurance of competence and integrity. Yet increasingly, security professionals are not British nationals, do not speak proper English, and do not appear to be physically fit enough to do their job. This is now everywhere. Supermarkets guarded by Indian men with no grasp of our language. How has this been allowed to happen? It is a scam, and a Restore Britain Government will end it. British nationals accounted for just 54.0% of recorded security licence holders in September 2026, down from 68.1% in September 2021. After British nationals (241,851), the five largest groups of SIA licence holders are nationals of Pakistan (69,663), Nigeria (28,770), India (20,567), Ghana (8,000) and Nepal (6,436) - countries whose cultures are, in our view, largely incompatible with our own. The demographic replacement of security guards. This is unacceptable. A Restore Britain Government will fix the security industry. How? - We will root out fraud and corruption, hold security companies accountable, and recruit more British workers, reducing reliance on cheap foreign labour. - We will commission an independent audit of the regulator, the Security Industry Authority, and launch a nationwide review of all SIA licences. Recheck identity, qualifications, criminal records, and the right to work. Strengthen overseas background checks, investigate failures to act on intelligence and conflicts of interest, and protect whistleblowers. The senior leadership will be replaced - such failure must have consequences. - We will require every frontline licence holder to retake independently supervised competence tests and pass a separate English-language examination covering speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Introduce physical fitness tests appropriate to each licensed role. Withdraw licences from those who fail or refuse to meet the required standards within a prescribed period - requiring former holders and their families to leave Britain. - We will introduce compulsory business licensing, with fit-and-proper checks on directors and beneficial owners. Require firms to assess subcontractors, verify staff identities and licences, and retain auditable employment records - preventing banned operators returning through replacement companies. - We will direct joint SIA and Home Office teams to investigate sham sponsorship, falsely described jobs, and unlawful employment. Check actual duties against visa conditions. - We will introduce legislation requiring foreign-national licence holders to financially support themselves and their dependants without social housing or welfare benefits. Where this condition is not met, withdraw licences and require former holders and their families to leave the UK. - We will pursue criminal investigations and prosecutions against company owners, recruiters, training providers, assessors, and officials who knowingly facilitate fraudulent qualifications, false identities, sham sponsorship or illegal working. Seek prison sentences for serious offending, confiscation of criminal proceeds, director disqualification and exclusion from public contracts. - We will launch a domestic recruitment drive through Jobcentres, college apprenticeships, and veterans’ organisations, with funded training and licence-fee support for British recruits. By the end of our first Parliament, we aim to have a 100% British security workforce. Relying on foreign nationals to do such important work is not acceptable. Our people deserve to feel properly protected in hospitals, in shops, at nightclubs, and everywhere else where security personnel are required. The British lads who provide me with protection when I need it are dedicated, serious, and competent - this should be the case everywhere. We should not have Pakistani, Sudanese, and Eritrean nationals taking job opportunities away from British nationals, especially if they are not even doing the job but using it to commit fraud to obtain a visa. The farce of millions of British people being ‘protected’ across our country by illiterate and incompetent foreign men will end.

A nested case-control study analyzing the long-term survival parameters of the oldest-old population within China has identified a notable correlation between omnivorous dietary patterns and an increased likelihood of reaching extreme longevity. Drawing on comprehensive health data compiled from 5,203 elderly participants enrolled in the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey, all of whom were at least 80 years of age at the inception of clinical tracking, the investigation contrasted the lifestyles of 1,459 individuals who successfully celebrated their 100th birthday against a control group of 3,744 peers who passed away prior to reaching that historical centenarian milestone. The macro-level statistical modeling revealed that individuals consuming a mixed diet containing both animal- and plant-derived foods exhibited significantly higher relative odds of achieving centenarian status compared to cohorts classified strictly as vegetarian or vegan, introducing an intriguing layer of nuance to contemporary discussions surrounding senior nutrition. However, a highly specific sub-group stratification conducted by the research team demonstrated that this longevity differential is deeply dependent on individual anthropometric variables rather than indicating a universal biological superiority of meat consumption. The statistical advantage associated with omnivorous eating patterns was observed to be highly significant exclusively among elderly participants categorized as underweight, defined clinically as maintaining a Body Mass Index below 18.5 kilograms per square meter, whereas the comparative statistical gap completely evaporated among individuals possessing a normal or overweight body mass profile. The granular dietary logs revealed that seniors who practiced meat avoidance but regularly incorporated high-quality animal byproducts—such as fish, fresh dairy, or whole eggs—into their plant-based regimens experienced identical long-term odds of becoming centenarians as their fully omnivorous peers, suggesting that the primary survival catalyst is tied directly to overall nutritional density rather than the explicit ingestion of mammalian flesh. The biological rationale behind these observational patterns points heavily toward the critical importance of nutritional adequacy, caloric density, and muscle mass preservation during the final decades of the human life cycle. As individuals advance deep into their 80s and 90s, the primary pathological threats to long-term survival undergo a rapid, systemic shift, transitioning away from the long-term cardiovascular risks traditionally associated with dense midlife diets and toward the immediate structural hazards of physical frailty, age-related sarcopenia, and involuntary weight loss. In this highly vulnerable demographic, micro-and-macro-nutrient deficiencies involving bioavailable complete proteins, vitamin B12, heme iron, and calcium can quietly compromise immune function and accelerate musculoskeletal degradation. Consequently, easily digestible animal products may serve as a vital nutritional safety net for elderly individuals struggling with diminished appetites, age-related metabolic inefficiency, or mechanical difficulties involving mastication, enabling them to meet their daily physiological baseline requirements more efficiently than would be feasible via voluminous plant materials alone. Because this research relied entirely on an observational framework tracking existing, self-selected lifelong diets rather than assigning randomized clinical interventions within a controlled laboratory setting, the authors emphasize that these results establish an associative trend rather than serving as direct causative proof that a meat-centric diet extends human life. An individual's late-life food selections are inevitably shaped by pre-existing baseline health markers, general robust constitution, oral dentition status, and fluctuating socioeconomic access to fresh markets, all of which independently dictate both long-term appetite profiles and absolute survival trajectories. Ultimately, this foundational East Asian cohort study underscores a pivotal principle within modern geriatric science: human nutritional requirements are not static across the lifespan, and the restrictive dietary patterns optimized for mitigating chronic disease risks during middle age must be dynamically reevaluated to prioritize the prevention of undernutrition, muscle wasting, and frailty during the twilight years of advanced old age. Vegetarian diet and likelihood of becoming centenarians in Chinese adults aged 80 y or older: a nested case-control study. *The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition*, 123(2), pii: S0002-9165(25)00728-2, DOI: 10.1016/j.ajcnut.2025.101136]
