No, actually you've become a complete sellout. I defended the LPs attempt at making a deal with Trump to get something out of it, agreed with the strategy, and voted for it. Trump then committed the ultimate betrayal to all of his voters and stands for nothing that he ran on. Local key races are different from supporting Zionist war mongering Senators like Ken fucking Paxton. You're doing this because you're a coward and refuse to grow a spine even if it means cutting off political access to certain people. Keeping your state red will still see your children growing up in a shithole full of 3rd world rapists and prices that are completely unaffordable. At least men might be banned from women's sports though. They'll thank you for all of that.

If all the little virtue signalers that voted no, voted Libertarian instead, they might not have so much to complain about. Perhaps they'd rather bitch about the problems we face than be part of any solution. Ballots can be the same as bullets if one wants them to be.

Literally the America First candidate in Michigan is the Libertarian Lydia Christensen. Leave it blank then let the chips fall where they will.
Watching so called Republicans continue to foam at the mouth over Mass Surveillance Mike Rogers is the largest form of political Stockholm syndrome I have ever seen in my entire life. He is the very deep State asset so many of you should be standing against. And I don't care what the alternative is. You don't reward somebody like Mike Rogers by ever giving them power again. I am a veteran and I'm a Republican and I absolutely will not be voting for Mike Rogers nor have I ever! I will be abstaining on that portion of the ballot. Maybe start running America First candidates.

No if your a Michigander get out and Vote Libertarian. LGBTQ+ people are not confused about what options the establishment has presented us with. We understand history. Vote Lydia Christensen for US Senate
I spoke with Haley Stevens yesterday. Feeling a bit absurd in pointing out the obvious and being far kinder than I should have been, I reminded her that the outcome of this senate race will be viewed in the light of a future Supreme Court vacancy, and I expressed a hope that all of us understand the stakes. She assured me she's supporting Dr. El-Sayed, sent me a video of a recent speech she gave blasting Mike Rogers and said this: "Still stands. I promise." She also said she's been sending this video to other folks to make it clear where she stands on this race. Again: that was yesterday. I have known Haley Stevens for years. I have counted her as a friend and an ally. We've had many thoughtful conversations about this country, and she has never failed to remind me that her mother is a fan of my writing. Whatever other political differences we have, she has always made it clear to me she would stand with LGBTQ people. It was a red line she refused to cross. Instead, she has made the inexplicable decision to endorse a man who views LGBTQ Americans as second-class citizens unworthy of full equality. I can't help but wonder what her mother must be thinking right now. I have no idea what has happened to the person I thought I knew, but clearly, she has completely taken leave of her senses in endorsing a Republican who is little more than a Trump sycophant -- less than 24 hours after promising me that she has not wavered from the bigger picture. I am disgusted with her cynicism and cowardice in this moment. God forgive me for trusting her. If you're a Michigan voter and as disgusted as I am, get to your polling place and vote for Dr. El-Sayed.

"except now Amazon runs it and justice requires a Prime subscription." Lmao isn't that just taxation?
Libertarians want to abolish the government and replace it with private police, private courts, private armies, and private agencies that enforce contracts. Congratulations, you reinvented the fucking state, except now Amazon runs it and justice requires a Prime subscription.

Fetterman is not going to switch parties. I don't know why people keep acting like this is a serious possibility. He has explicitly rejected the idea multiple times. And again, in his own words, from a May 2026 WaPo op-ed: "My values have not changed, and I have always turned to those kinds of ideals that defined being a Democrat. I remain strongly pro-choice, pro-weed, pro-LGBT, pro-SNAP, pro-labor and even pro-rib-eye over bio slop." He is not a Republican.

The US version of health insurance isn’t “insurance.” It’s a prepaid health payment plan. Which simply makes it so routine care is paid for by third parties. Imagine if you ran all your routine home maintenance through your homeowners insurance. That leaky faucet would be five times more expensive than if you just paid cash. Why? The plumber wouldn’t just be able to charge you at the point of sale. He’d need to employ a whole billing department. Since someone else was paying, he wouldn’t even bother showing you the price. You’d shop purely on non-price factors, like show nice his website is and how shiny his truck is. So his prices would gradually creep up. Why not? Someone else is paying. Which means now you’d need prior authorization to get the faucet fixed. The plumber might try to say you need a fancy new faucet with touchless controls and a built in purifier. Insurance says you can only have one of those old turn handle ones where hot and cold have separate nozzles. They only care about cost and not quality (except it being good enough to avoid an other leaky faucet soon). You care about quality but not cost. Just getting a leaky faucet repaired has now become an expensive, bureaucratic nightmare. Of course, if you suggest people pay cash for leaky faucets there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. “Do you even know how much a plumber is these days? A leaky faucet costs $300,000!“ And, obviously, someone would bring up the fact that you can’t negotiate with a plumber if there is a burst pipe at 2am on christmas day and your house is being flooded. So how could you ever expect people to shop for plumbers. Thats just ridiculous. Also, if you dont make someone else pay to have that leaky faucet fixed, there might be water damage in the future and it will cost MORE to fix. So we should just fund all plumbers through the government. Running water is a right, after all. There certainly won’t be any difficulty getting a plumber once they all have to get government approval to do anything to fix your house, right? Anyone will be able to get a plumber at any time and they’ll do all the things necessary to keep your house working perfectly. If it sounds stupid for plumbers it sounds stupid for doctors, too.
Not to sound rude, but I don’t think people understand what insurance is. Its core purpose is to protect against financial risk. Using it as a third party payer for every routine expense adds administration, billing costs and overhead. We still pay for all of that. Running a bill through an insurance company does not automatically make the care cheaper. It’s why cash will always be cheaper.

Morality isn't a gray area and every election is a lesser of two evils because it's always between a warmongering Republican and a socialist Democrat.

Reminder: while GOPers have been justly going after Democrats for supporting socialism, the GOP under Trump has literally PRACTICED socialism. Vote out socialists, regardless of the color of their team jersey.
US government has now lost $33 billion on its Intel stake as it crashes 54% from all time high. $11.3 billion of that was wiped out today alone.

The idea that conservatives dislike Indians because they vote liberal doesn't make sense. When a black guy is conservative, rightists love him. Meanwhile, it's pretty much impossible to be an Indian conservative today because of all the hate. richardhanania.com/p/waking-…

You can just abolish zoning and let people build housing in existing cities, pretending growth needs to come at the cost of our preserved nature only hurts your cause and genuinely feels like intentional sabotage.
Where nobody lives in America. All that green represents 0 population. We still have so much more room to grow as a country.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The green areas show U.S. Census blocks with zero reported population, but include protected national parks/wilderness, military bases, commercial/industrial zones, highways, and unsuitable terrain like mountains/deserts where development is restricted or impractical. mapsbynik.com/maps/census0po… bigthink.com/strange-maps/n… gizmodo.com/mapping-the-us… smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/the…

I have a couple of ideas: "Civic Liberty Party" "American Liberty Union" "American Freedom Party" "American Individualist Party" "Free Citizens Party" "Constitutional Liberty Party" "Free Society Party" "Hayek is better than Mises Party"
The Libertarian Party should change its name. When the name represents an ideology it creates an endless struggle over the purest and most proper form of that ideology. Other parties do not have this problem. Not to mention we have numerous examples of people representing the party in a negative way, which then gets tied to libertarianism in general by the public.. Or vice versa- people representing the ideology in a bad way which then gets tied to the party. The constant purity tests have prevented the LP from moving forward. Educating people on the ideology should be left up to voices in the movement. The party should be focused on the goals of the party- winning elections, shrinking government. Instead it's been 50 years of people fighting other members of the party over who controls what a real libertarian is.
