Republicans lost on corruption.
Ban stock trades for elected officials. Businesses need to be in blind trusts. If you are in elected office you should not be doing deals and flipping stocks. Insane and stupid and selfish.
What does Governor Josh Shapiro’s support for El-Sayed say about the state of the Democratic Party?

Everyone has an opinion about why Republicans got trounced in the election. I won’t bore you with mine.
But here’s why I think these results could be a best-case scenario for the GOP coming into 2028.
Voters didn’t cast ballots for the Democratic agenda. Instead, they expressed anger over rising gas prices, the Iran war, food costs, health care costs, and a perceived indifference out of Washington, D.C.
But the Democrats have party pressures too. Their voter base is going to demand action on issues that are far out of lockstep with mainstream America.
For example: Voters want lower gas prices, but they just installed a majority whose platform calls for an end to all fossil fuels. Keystone Pipeline-level policy will be unavoidable.
Voters want lower beef prices. The incoming majority wants to eliminate beef consumption, with everyone eating engineered meat instead.
Open borders and amnesty? The Democrats will have no choice but to entertain these ideas. The vast majority of Americans don’t want either.
Boys in women’s sports? No doubt there will be dozens of bills in Congress, yet Americans hate the idea.
And the Democratic majority has already signaled that they're going to ramp up the contentious in Washington DC, with incoming House committee chairs posting threats on X about pursuing President Trump, his cabinet, and even members of his staff.
The public hates this; all of it. They want action on what impacts their daily lives.
Remember the Red Baron employee whose rant recently went viral? He just wants relief on gas prices and his mortgage, and from working 18-hour days just to get by. He doesn’t want to eat artificial beef while his daughter competes against men in school volleyball and he's got to flip through TV channels filled with committee hearings trying to “gotcha” Elon Musk.
Make no mistake. The next two years will reset the contrasts. The Democrats can’t help but remind voters why they were shown the door in 2024. And Republicans will shine, with a tremendously accomplished and well-spoken bench of presidential talent, from Vice President Vance to Secretary Rubio, Governor DeSantis, and more.
So while the election aftermath feels terrible now for Republicans, the results set the GOP up for a historic mandate election in 2028, the type that returns majorities to both houses and sweeps the states.
Hang on for the next 2 years. It’s going to be a great ride.

A lot of people are totally oblivious to what this movement is ultimately about.
Israel, and America’s alliance with it, is simply one of the most effective targets if your goal is to undermine the West and remake the geopolitical landscape.
That alliance makes America enormously powerful, and America’s adversaries know it. They’ve poured enormous resources into undermining it, including by spreading propaganda designed to turn Americans, particularly young Americans, against Israel and the alliance itself. And they’ve had considerable success.
This doesn’t end if we cut aid to Israel or diminish AIPAC. The hostility toward Israel is, in significant part, rooted in a much broader anti-American, anti-Western ideology. Israel is simply the most convenient target, not the ultimate objective.

What the hell is wrong with these people
Kansas Senate candidate Adam Hamilton claiming the suburb he calls home needs to become far less white or GenZ won't want to live there.
He claims his kids said they "don't want to live in Johnson County Beige".
Hamilton lives in one of the fastest growing suburbs in the Kansas City metro. Everyone wants to live there. His church was enriched by white liberals moving across country for a relatively cheaper, safer suburb with good schools.
But sure, give the "abolish whiteness" sermon.

Just blissfully unaware that the population has fundamentally changed within a generation. Whole cities have essentially ceased to be part of the country, with countless millions who do not regard America as their country but an enemy.
But sure, "the constitutional system."

In 2010, white Americans made up 45.3 per cent of Texas. By 2025, that number fell to 37.3 per cent. Hispanics now make up 40.9 per cent of Texans, the largest group in the state. Of the four million people Texas added between 2010 and 2020, 95 per cent were not white. Nearly one in five Texans, 5.8 million people, was born abroad, up from one in six a decade ago.
As the cliché goes, demographics is destiny. In both Britain and America, white voters are far more right wing than ethnic minorities. The national exit poll figures from last night show Republicans winning 55 per cent of white men, against just 13 per cent of black men and 6 per cent of black women. Democrats took 56 per cent of Latino men and 66 per cent of Latino women. White women narrowly favoured the Democrats. Britain shows a similar pattern: in 2024, Labour led the Conservatives by seven points among white voters, but by 29 points among ethnic minorities. 68 per cent of black voters supported Labour in 2024; just one per cent voted for Reform UK.
I’ve made my Substack free on the midterms today 👇
In 2016 the chairman of the Texas Democrats said: “If we can get Hispanics to vote in this state, it would be impossible for the Republicans to elect anyone.”
Last night his daughter was elected governor.
This is not new. California voted Republican in nine of ten presidential elections up to 1988. Then Reagan signed an amnesty for three million illegal immigrants. Whites went from 67% of the state to 35%. No Republican has won it since.
President Trump’s Iran war drove the midterms disaster. As did the high gas prices that resulted from it. Yet there was another crucial factor at play, and one the British Right must take notice of: demographics.
Britain’s white population has fallen from 87% to 74% in 20 years, and Labour is about to put the Boriswave on the path to citizenship.

On the "culture war." I live in Texas and was inundated with "Talorico is for they/them" mailers, texts, and TV ads, at the expense of literally any other message. This missed the entire point of the issue from 2024.
Yes, single-sex sports are 80/20. But voters in 2024 weren't actually motivated out of passion to save women's sports. On paper sure; in reality it was deeper. They were tired of elitists in power looking down on their way of life as immoral and backwards. Bud Light hated its own "fratty" drinkers. Target turned an enjoyable "Target run" into a drag show. The Biden Admin hired an overweight male pretending to be a woman to be the arbiter of public health. LinkedIn asked that you provide pronouns. Institutions treated LGBTQ as a minority status for admission. (Even today, the WNBA has seized this mightiness and treated women's rights advocates with utter disdain.)
Kamala embodied that "otherness." The issue proved she's just not regular like us. The 2024 vote was a return to normalcy. Americans voted it's perfectly moral and normal to know what a woman is, elitists be damned.
The 2026 flavor treated voters as if they were motivated by the issue itself. Like Texans were going to wake up and vote on women's prisons and sports. To be sure, Texans are on the right side of this issue. But they entirely missed the point. The 2024 vote was backlash against elitist cultural domination.

Makes today’s statement even more puzzling. Only 19% of Republicans said U.S. support for Israel is too strong. 59% said it’s not strong enough.

Official ranking of generations:
1. Millennials (1981–1996) — Last normal generation. Grew up without Hinge, TikTok or pronouns in bios.
2. Gen X (1965–1980) — Built different. Independent, tough, hooked up the old school way (in person)
3. Greatest Generation (1901–1927) — Fought actual wars instead of online wars. Hardworking but probably dead.
4. Gen Z (1997–2012) — Hinge addicts, situationships, gym bros and liberal activists.
5. Silent Generation (1928–1945) — Worked hard, kept quiet, got married at 21. They’re dependable and content with the American dreams.
6. Gen Alpha (2013–2024) — iPad kids with brain rot. Already cooked.
7. Boomers (1946–1964) — Bought houses for $40K, ruined the economy and tell us to stop buying $8 coffees. Resistant to change.

JD Vance: So we should stop when Iran is on its death bed, call it a peace deal, and kiss the Pakistanis asses?

Yeah we all remember that and I also remember not being stupid enough to think the government could fix it all for me. I remember having four roommates while I was a young Navy SEAL and saving money on my first deployment to Iraq to buy my first home. I remember when people didn’t believe that someone else should pay for some make-believe lifestyle we thought we deserved…because we believed we had to figure it out ourselves. I also remember when Republicans were honest enough to tell people the truth and fight for policy that would have long term benefits even if unpopular in the short term. If anyone thinks the lesson about “affordability” in this election is just becoming more populist and more liberal, then go join the Democrat party. They’ll be happy to have you, bribing voters with promises of free crap.
Or…do a better job making the economic case for what you know is right.
I’m still team Trump. Why? Because his policies are grounded in the long term, not the convenient short term. GOOD. Double down on the agenda.
Who cares if we lost the midterms? Nothing changes. We already had a deadlocked Congress anyway.
And how about you supposed “conservative commentators” tell the truth about issues like affordability? Republicans made sure the average family of 4 didn’t see a $10,000 increase in taxes last year. *Money that Democrats voted to take from you.* Republicans push for permitting reform and deregulation. Supply side policies that decrease inflation long term. Tariffs suck in the short term but in the long term will bring manufacturing here. Biden and his Democrats caused 9% inflation. The high prices you see now? Guess what, 76% of that higher price is from the Biden years. The rest is gas prices which admittedly is caused by the actions in Iran. GOOD. All I have to pay is 30% higher gas and I get to make sure Iran can’t point a nuke at me?? GOOD.
By the way, lots of other consumer goods are cheaper. Prescription drugs are 4.5% LOWER. The biggest cost increases are housing and healthcare. Why? Because Obamacare wrecked the healthcare market and blue states make it impossible to permit new home building. But who cares about the facts, right? Good job, Texas! Say goodbye to your low cost of living and pro-business reputation. And thank the braindead right wing populists that threw their votes away in protest (also thank Paxton for running the worst campaign ever….).
Republicans need to stop running away from good policy and principles just because it MIGHT win an election. Thats the Democrat way. Fuck that. Stick to principle. And LEARN HOW TO ACTUALLY EXPLAIN GOOD POLICY TO VOTERS. The moronic consultant class told the GOP to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on transgender ads instead of the economy.
Incredibly stupid.
Let’s learn some lessons, but for God’s sake learn the RIGHT lessons.
I remember making 40k with a wife and two babies and having nothing left at the end of the month after rent and groceries, and I think about it still every day. If you’re struggling to make ends meet and keep your family fed with a roof over their heads, that struggle is simply the most pressing and urgent matter in your life and nothing else really comes close. This is something that many Republican politicians and conservative “thought leaders” still do not understand and maybe never will.
