And no exemplary action being taken about consumption as well as drunk driving? I suppose in a State with prohibition, police cannot even justify purchase & deployment of breathalysers, which makes drunk driving undetectable until someone crashes and/or kills/gets killed.

And then @countrybeanco is quite clear about their product - "If you don't like our coffee, you've got bad taste! Keep having our sh!t, you'll love it!" They are trying to develop #StockholmSyndrome in their customers, I tell you!

@countrybeanco how horrible can you make your coffee? Ordered this from your website, and the coffee in both jars has a disgusting burnt taste, not anything like hazelnut! Your contact no. 8484932148 doesn't work either. Utter waste of money.

When Delhi's #AQI goes up, #NDMC @tweetndmc wants double #parking_fees. How does it help bring down #pollution? I drive a #BEV, & my contribution to the #smog is 0️⃣ - so why should I not be completely exempt from paying to park now?

He learnt to drive 1-on-1 with me for 3 weeks, then got his California DL on first try. If one learns to drive scientifically, one always drives correctly. Unlearning bad habits is an uphill task, but can be achieved if one gets the right training. #TrainIndiansToDriveBetter

That's right. Many 'on ramps' have them. They're the permanent equivalent of 'ramp metering signals' that operate in places where motorists obey red & green lights. 🇮🇳 drivers would just treat them like semaphores and not pause. A huge bump helps! wsdot.wa.gov/travel/operatio….

A driving rule states, DO NOT OVERTAKE AT OR WHEN APPROACHING JUNCTIONS. I'm certain no one in 🇮🇳 has heard of it. Of course, all our highways will have gaps in median, commonly with no signage. Treat all GAP IN MEDIAN as JUNCTIONS, and 1. Reduce speed 2. Do not overtake

When will rear seat occupants start compulsorily buckling up their seat belts in 🇮🇳? And when will police personnel themselves follow traffic rules, and not be arrogant towards ordinary citizens? @dtptraffic @DelhiPolice

It's been 2 years since the unfortunate demise of Mr. Cyrus Mistry, that highlighted the importance of seat belts even in the safest cars. Yet, many still ignore the rear seatbelts. Please keep this image in mind every time you sit in the rear and always buckle up.

65 years now, and the 3-point belt is still the greatest automotive safety feature ever made. Remember that NCAP ratings or airbags are almost useless even if one occupant is not belted in the car. A detailed thread on seat belt benefits and how to use it correctly:
#OnThisDay 64 years ago, Volvo sold the first car installed with undoubtedly the greatest automotive safety feature ever made: The three-point seat belt. Here is a short thread on this humble and unassuming safety feature present in all vehicles. (1/n)

My cat could impart #CAS lessons to Indian bikers. He can pass through the narrowest of gaps, but will do it slowly & carefully. Bikers tend to speed through the narrowest gaps, but lack the reflex of a cat!

One more driver suffering from #OptimismBias. Automotive journalists have a great responsibility towards their readers to do & teach the right thing. teapawt.org/ReduceRoadRisks/status…
#OptimismBias = #Driver believes s/he is unlikely to crash / be involved in an #accident. Why? Because s/he THINKS s/he: 1. Has FULL CONTROL over the car, even at high speeds; 2. KNOWS ALL #trafficrules; 3. Has NEVER crashed; 4. Is THE BEST! Kill #OptimismBias for #RoadSafety.

I had a call with my friend just now. He was driving. I told him,I will call later as he's driving. He said,"no problem,we can talk, it's ok for me,as I'm used to". This is called optimism bias,we hope nothing will happen to us. Will post on it. #RoadSafety

Driver education works only when the drivers are interested in learning. We can take a horse to a pond, but we cannot make it drink water.

Fatigue & drowsy driving is common among taxicab, bus & truck drivers in India because of the absence of rules limiting the no. of hours behind the wheel. Another cause is undiagnosed obstructive sleep apnea, esp. in obese drivers. #DriveToSurvive youtu.be/1RGlgOPHYQE

#Crashnotaccident When someone makes a reckless driving choice & crashes that is not an accident. That is a crash or crime. Change the verbage! Do not excuse dangerous driving choices by calleng them accidents. RT #droptheAword Beacuse we care . . .

The two headlights visible in your left door mirror (ORVM) mean there is enough space for you to merge in front of the heavy vehicle you just overtook.

There is a psychology to driving safely. It’s not just about following the rules of the road. It’s about using as many skills as necessary to reduce risks and allow you to reach your destination as safely as possible. This explains. #RoadSafety thesafedriver.ca/2017/11/20/…

Wonderful suggestion! Functional #dashcams and #bikecams to be made mandatory on ALL vehicles. All traffic enforcement on roads to be removed for 30 days. All traffic violations to be noted on basis of video footage. Then suspend ALL violators' #DrivingLicense. New beginning!
