It took 10 years, but Lindsey Graham’s GOP prophecy has finally come true. I just can’t believe it took this long.
If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed.......and we will deserve it.

“Without action, Governor Hinojosa will inherit the powers of a DICTATOR.” So we’re admitting Abbott has been given essentially the power of a dictator the past 11 years?
🚨 I call on Gov. Abbott to IMMEDIATELY convene a special session to REIN IN EXECUTIVE EMERGENCY POWERS… before Gina Hinojosa is sworn in! Republicans lost last night, but Democrats were not sworn in. We still have total power in Texas, and we must act like it by using the remaining ten weeks to restore separation of powers and limit the emergency powers that Governor-Elect Hinojosa is set to inherit, which would allow her to destroy liberty in Texas by executive fiat. I’ve warned since I was first elected that NO governor, Republican or Democrat, should have unchecked emergency powers! Now that Texas has elected a Democrat Governor, the urgency is undeniable… and inaction is intolerable. Without action, Governor Hinojosa will inherit the powers of a DICTATOR. Due to the absurd (and almost certainly unconstitutional) Texas emergency powers laws, Gov. Hinojosa will literally have the power to modify laws, ignore laws, or create and enforce laws – including criminal laws – on a whim! Today is a day for ACTION, and bold leadership. The Texas Legislature must immediately pass, and Governor Abbott must sign, legislation like HB911, which I filed in 2022 and warned at the time, that “Never ending emergency powers are antithetical to representative government and render people powerless. Legislative bodies allowing a single executive branch official to both write and enforce laws is the biggest threat to our constitutional system of divided government and should be opposed irrespective of which political party runs the executive branch.” My legislation would protect liberty from executive fiat by, among other things, taking the following actions: 1. Prohibit the Governor from suspending or modifying statutes 2. Sunset emergency orders in 30 days if the legislature does not ratify the order 3. Prohibit the governor from reissuing emergency orders that expired or the legislature rejected 4. Require emergency orders to be narrowly tailored 5. Subject emergency orders to expedited judicial review We have TEN WEEKS LEFT to protect Texas from near total Democrat rule. I encourage every elected Republican in Texas to join my demand for Gov. Abbott to call a special session. The future of liberty in America is literally on the line in Texas, and Texans deserve leadership that acts accordingly. @GregAbbott_TX

Elon's selling smoke and pipe dreams. He wants his techno-socialist utopia so bad.
Elon Musk says going to medical school is pointless "Everyone will have access to medical care that is better than what the president receives right now" Peter Diamandis: "So don't go into medical school?" Elon Musk: "Yes. Yeah. Pointless. But I would say that applies to any form of education" "5 or 4 years from now, we'll have better medical care than anyone has today, available for everyone"

The creator of Hots&Cots is looking for new work. Help out a man who has helped so many. * A full-time senior iOS role, building apps or the platforms behind them. * Contract work. If you need an iOS, Android, or web app built end to end, that’s how I built Hots&Cots.
Hots&Cots has never been my full-time job. It’s been nights, weekends, and vacation days. My day job has been almost 13 years at Microsoft, most recently as a senior iOS engineer. I’m part of this round. So I’m open to two things: * A full-time senior iOS role, building apps or the platforms behind them. * Contract work. If you need an iOS, Android, or web app built end to end, that’s how I built Hots&Cots. DMs are open. Hots&Cots isn’t going anywhere.

BREAKING: Microsoft, $MSFT, is offering buyouts to 60,000 workers as part of the company’s efforts to cut costs amid AI adoption, per Bloomberg. Personnel on select teams in the US, Canada, India, and the UK at a vice president level and below will be eligible. This reflects ~27% of Microsoft's total workforce.

Folks, Brazil is the perfect example of what I’ve said about this platform and Community Notes since Elon launched it. Tonight and all day tomorrow, your feed will fill with thousands of posts claiming the Brazil election was stolen because Lula’s buddy on the Supreme Court extended voting by 2 hours. That claim, we already know, is absolute bullshit. Both campaigns asked for the extension, Flávio Bolsonaro’s included, after bus shortages and bad weather hit voters in several cities. teapawt.org/tommysantos14/status/2… Almost every one of those posts will run note-free. The few that get a Community Note will get it after the damage is done. MAGA propaganda spreads like wildfire here for one reason: Elon Musk designed it that way. Community Notes has always been a red herring. Give it a few hours. Musk will repost one of his favorite stooges with a one-word “Concerning,” and that lie will land in front of his 241 million followers. And Community Notes will never catch up. So when I call Elon Musk Trump’s Joseph Goebbels, I mean every word.
Both Brazil candidates requested voting extensions. MAGA, once again, is lying about a "rigged" election. cartacapital.com.br/politica… "The campaigns of Lula (PT) and Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) requested this Sunday, October 25th, that the Superior Electoral Court extend the voting hours for the second round until 7 PM in localities affected by problems that hindered voters' access to the polls. The requests have different justifications." "While the PT campaign points to failures in public transportation, the Bolsonaro campaign mainly cites rain, flooding, road closures, and changes to polling locations." "Flávio's campaign is requesting two additional hours of voting in 17 municipalities in São Paulo, Paraná, and Santa Catarina. The team is also requesting that the announcement of the presidential results only begin after the polls have closed in the areas covered by the extension."

Let's recap the developments in the mailers that were sent to voters purporting to represent a transgender advocacy group. A thread 🧵. 1. As early voting started, mailers purporting to represent the Transgender Education Network of Texas were sent to an untold number of Texans.

Not even surprised. Surprised it hasn’t been linked directly to Elon or Paxton…but not at all surprised it was an op.
CBS identified Illinois based Three Z Printing as the holder of the permit associated with the fake transgender mailers. One of the owners, Matt Zerrusen, is based in Dallas. His Instagram shows pictures with Charlie Kirk and Donald Trump, and comments from local Republicans.

So let met get that straight: paying a wealth tax is impossible (“billionaires have no liquidity”, “it would be taxing unrealized gains”, “their wealth is virtual”) but paying half a billion to influence elections is possible. Did I understand well?
Elon Musk has cemented his record as the largest individual political donor in modern American history. Musk poured $446 million of his own money into this year’s midterm elections, mostly aimed at preserving the Republican Party’s control of Congress. wapo.st/4igb5Kq

Yes, let me remind you of what some of Trump’s allies did during and after the 2020 election that contributed to this level of distrust….. • Kenneth Chesebro pleaded guilty to conspiracy to file false documents in Georgia. • Jenna Ellis pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting false statements about the Georgia election. • Sidney Powell pleaded guilty to conspiring to interfere with election duties. • Scott Hall pleaded guilty to conspiring to interfere with election duties. • Rudy Giuliani was found liable for defaming two Georgia election workers through false election-fraud accusations. These aren’t allegations or conspiracy theories. These are all established court outcomes that helped bring the truth to the American people.
“Armies of lawyers prepare to stop interference” by interfering….. This is the playbook.

My take: Putin gave up nothing by releasing a 74-year-old American held as a pawn for this type of moment. Putin is not a humanitarian, despite how Mr Witkoff addressed him. And whereas President Trump says he gave up nothing for Stephen Hubbard's release, you will hear all the experts correctly say that he did: busting his own sanctions for a diesel deal with Putin that could put $4 billion into his war chest; inviting Putin to the G20; and dumping Putin's victim, Ukraine, face down in the mud, as it tries to defend its sovereignty and its freedom. You’ve heard the historians call all this appeasement, going against America's own democratic values. nytimes.com/2026/10/21/us/po…

Fox: What is the best single line of attack you’ve found for your campaign? Paxton: We’re going to send out Trans flyers to our voters to rile up our base
This is pure cope. No Republican would spend money secretly promoting a flyer for the “Texas trans tour” that this group is already promoting on their social media. Your side really is this evil. Just own it.
