This book has been 67 years in the making. it started when Tony Wicks and I were 4 years old, we were lifetime friends and were always telling each other jokes and silly stories to try and make each other laugh. Well
I wrote them down. categorized them and put them in this book.
Born at a very young age, I met Tony Wicks when we were aged 4 on the way to school. I did some work Reinsurance Security Analyst, Hospital Porter, although I preferrd to call myself a Medical Relocation Executive and Credit Manager to name but 3, I retired. started writing books, Tony Wicks rather inconveniently died before I could beat him at Crown Green Bowls and Snooker.
In It’s Only Words, obscure vocabulary meets razor-sharp humor as George Ring guides readers through an unforgettable world of strange words, bizarre facts, mythology, literature, history, and gloriously witty commentary. One moment you’re learning about Greek gods, medieval legends, or ancient philosophers; the next, you’re laughing at unexpected punchlines hidden inside the definitions. Clever, quirky, and wonderfully original, this book proves that words are far more than meanings on a page—they are stories, memories, and endless entertainment waiting to be discovered.
What is happening, I have been followed by two Jennifer Anistons and three lottery winners all in one day.

I like to cuddle, but I've been told there is a fine line between a hug and holding someone down so they can't escape.
Romance is a tricky thing.

In this vibrant retelling of the Ramayana, author George Ring brings to life the epic saga of Ram, the noble prince of Ayodhya. From his miraculous birth to his thrilling adventures in the wilderness, his unwavering devotion to righteousness, and his legendary battle against the demon king Ravan.
In The Great War of India, George Ring masterfully reimagines the legendary tale of the Mahabharata, a story that has captivated the hearts and minds of millions for millennia. Set in the ancient kingdom of Hastinapur, this epic saga follows the complex relationships and fierce rivalries within the Kuru dynasty, where blind kings, wise sages, and fierce warriors grapple with their roles in a divine game of destiny.

For a long time, you may stay quiet, choose your words carefully and let certain things slide because you don’t want to create tension or hurt anyone’s feelings. But constantly keeping the peace can become exhausting when it comes at the cost of your own. There are moments when you need to say exactly what has been bothering you and explain what you’re no longer willing to accept. That doesn’t make you difficult or unkind. It simply means you’ve learned that healthy relationships require honesty, mutual respect and room for your feelings too. The people who truly care about you will listen, even when the conversation isn’t comfortable.🤎
